Wolf Heavy Industries Medium Duty Forklift 1.3

5ish ton capacity forklift for lifting cars and pallets

For some forklift compatible palletized props, see HERE
For some go-fast bits, check this awesome mod by @Inn0centJok3r

The very first of what is hopefully going to become a set of many heavy equipment mods on the repo, this is the Wolf Heavy Industries medium duty forklift.

With a lifting capacity of 4.5 tons, it should be strong enough to lift most cars. There’s also the option for fork extensions, to more easily lift larger objects and vehicles.

The single stage (simplex) mast should allow for sufficient lifting height for most purposes.

    Driving tips:
    • While the forklift capacity is listed at 4.5 ton, it’s going to be fairly touchy with that weight. Make sure the load is resting on the fork properly and avoid abrupt maneuvers.
    • It’s also recommended to drive around with the load as low as possible to prevent tip-overs, and only lift the forks up for loading and unloading.
    • Keep in mind that the forklift weights 6.5 tons unloaded, which is totally normal for a forklift with that lifting capacity, this means that some ramps, trailers and other structure might collapse if you drive on them.
    Known issues:
    • Tires have a fairly decent amount of bounce, especially since there is no suspension to help keep that in check. As long as you drive on mostly flat ground and make sure to slow down before hitting kerbs and transitions you shouldn’t have any issue.
    • Forks materials are a bit flat.

im sad to give only 3 stars, but since the 0.23.0 update, the forklift stopped working for me and it stayed like that ever since, the forklift still drives but i can move the the lift part.

For things like that it's always preferable to use the forum thread, as that allows some discussion to try to troubleshoot the issue.

I just tried it on my end and it seems to work fine.

Could you check if you have the controls UI tool showing the custom bindings, like you'd get with the pickup and T-series vehicles. Make sure you are pressing the right key, and that you're not also using those keys for something else.

Also, if you're using the high-lift variant, keep in mind that only the forks will move initially. The mast will start lifting once the forks are all the way up. This simulates

If neither of those are the issue, could you take a look at the console, and send me any messages in red that you see?

This should help explain the console a little if you've never used it.

You may take the gas bottle from caravan and put it behind the rollcage, like IRL forklift (:
    Anyways, so original idea,
I hope to see this kind of vehicle in the vanilla game (like tractor, forklift, combine harvester, bulldozer, etc.. )

The propane bottle on the back is for propane powered forklifts, this lift is diesel powered. For those the fuel tank is usually located in the frame.
