i've made texture fix myself, wanted to post it, but i couldn't reach author if authors will claim that i can share it, i will, let's look at video i made with this:
I don't think you need permission to post a fix as long as you don't claim that you made the car itself
It really is quite simple. Anyone with with even a small amount of modding knowledge can make a fixed version for themselves. All you need are the glass textures from the pre-remaster Grand Marshal and this tutorial to convert the body textures to PBR: https://documentation.beamng.com/modding/materials/materials_1.5/switching-from-015
Not yet, i just edited textures, didn't get to blender yet, but author could have this we everyone saw in video of original mod. I've been just confused of no texture
NOW WITH OVERHEATING FEATURE!!!! Škoda 130 @Atomix - Models and Textures, bits of Jbeam @Firepower - Majority of Jbeam and N/B structure @synsol - Help with sounds @chris_lucas, @MrAngry and others - Testing @Top Drive edit and fix some minor things This fix is based on the very first version of the mod. Known bugs: You have to reset vehicle (basicly ctrl+r) for load all textures properly. I don't know why it is loading no texture on black things for the first time. Sounds of suspension is little bit quirky Paint doesen't react much on editing metalic, roughness and clearcoat. There isn't much options on paintjobs yet Old glass textures doesen't exist yet I'll try to fix it by the time, so there might be some updates. Some info about this car: This is rear mounted engine RWD light car. There were some problems with handling especially in the winter. Car was also problematic becouse of blinding other cars at the night. It was caused by rear mounted engine, while car was accelerating, it leaned back like a boat. Front trunk wasn't very practical and opened to the side, so if you had something bigger, only way was put it on roof, but it was capable to hold only 50 kg, or if you had tow hitch, put it in trailer. This concrete car was produced in Czechoslovakia from 1983 to 1988. But it has roots in 60's, when Škoda 1000MB came out. Theese cars had changed in '68 to Škoda 100/110, which was almost the same, except of some minor changes in design and engineering. Then 105 and 120 came out in '76, which has some bigger changes. For example they moved radiator to the front, but time showed, that it was complicated solution and it tended to overheat, because pipes with coolant had to go across all the car. While cars were repaired mostly at home, sometimes something gone wrong and cooling system leaked. But people were happy, they can have some car and gone to vacations in it, usualy with some main car parts, that tended to break. This car was capable of 140-150km/h, but it was unstable at this speeds especially cars in worse condition. Also sometimes wheels fell out, so don't be confused if it happend to you in the game, people lived with this IRL. I hope you will like and enjoy my fix. there might be some other versions Here's 58 pages of comments on this page, that's why i also wrote, that it's based on the very first version I focused more on engines, differentials and radiators, so if anybody finds something better in the forum, feel free to use mine files and match them with other versions. There is edited engine and transmission file and added old gavril glass texture. i might do something more in future, but if somebody already did it, then why do it twice?
Yeah, it happened to me one time, no joke. But it was more of a user failure that design problem. I didn't fasten the bolts thigh enough. The carburetor in my particular vehicle was messed up. It worked great at idle and it worked great at full throttle. Everything between that it choked itself. Also the handling was atrocious, but there was an easy fix for that. You put something heavy in the fronk. Like a concrete block or a sand bag or an anvil. Put weight on the front wheels and turning the wheel actually did something.
I think you are talking about the VW Bug,also rear wheel drive rear engine car. That had relatively big tires and good ground clearance. Skoda was not good in snow. The only good thing about a Skoda in snow is you will not freeze your hands when you push it. The engine in the back gives heat
Well, if you have to push it, it means, it won't start, and if it won't start, engine will be cold but it isn't very bad car overall. everything depends on condition of the car and if you have some good tires, it should be relatively ok.
