Makes sense I guess...
Yup that's it, I had numbers for slow motion. I wouldn't have thought that if the camera is disabled I could still enter it with number keys though.
Yeah, the disabling is mainly for the cycle mode, so you don't have to unnecessarily cycle through modes you don't use
We did that on purpose, it's quite a useful feature, so for example you don't have the cinematic external camera in your "C" cycle, but you can still access it via the numbers in the odd case you want to use it
Please tell me I'm not the only person who crashed into the piano to see if it would make a piano sound. (It did, in case you are wondering)
Honestly though, the attention to detail in these updates are incredible.
OT: I suggest that coupled nodes are highlighted with a different color than the other nodes so that they can easily be disconnected.
Added support for a “noisy” idle RPM
I don't have video of it, but in 0.9 I could just depress the clutch (it would depress at a quick enough rate) and then hit the button to shift on my controller and it would change the gear at a decent rate aswell. If i did something dumb the trans damage message would pop up, but my issue isn't the damage it's the lack of responsiveness. I get it's tough to map something this analog to a digital input, but right now the system makes me shift like i'm in traffic when i'm trying to keep it sideways.
Awesome update! Can't wait to get home from work and try it out.
How do you guys make your vehicle thumbnails? As a man of no compromise, I like to make my mod's thumbnails as close to the official ones as possible. Is there any chance of getting a thumbnails tool released that automatically generates thumbnails from vehicle configs?
While working on the sounds I found out that previously the engine held the idle RPM perfectly steady. Obviously that's not realistic, so now you can specify how much the actual idle deviates from the idle set in jbeam. The result is a much more natural sounding idle.
idk if its a mod or something, but my performance has dropped substantially. earlier today i was getting about 40 fps on medium graphics in utah with dynamic reflections on. i'm now getting about 14 with the lowest graphics possible and all programs closed on my pc. any ideas?
my bad i forgot to check safe mode, and yeh sure enough when i uninstalled mods it runs fine. great update, the sounds add alot to the game
I seen the facebook post and nearly spilt boiling water on my legs and feet. Amazing update!
Check the new 'Thumbnail Generator' app
As always written on the very first line of this thread, don't report stuff if you haven't tried in Safe Mode + Clear Cache yet.
Awesome, how is it set in jbeam?
What parameter, is needed?
And that's what Steam is complaining about.
Something is using something from there.
Restart your system if you haven't.
Finally some variation to cars with new sounds. They're definitely not in the quality standards that the devs are aiming for, but I understand, that it's not that easy to gather multiple different vehicles into one location and record their sounds. Devs don't have bottomless wallet with infinite resources.
Other than that, the simple Node to Node feature is handly to be used as a sort of ''welder'' to weld doors shut, etc, etc.
One thing I noticed, is that if you waterlock the engine, the starter motor is still functional.
AWESOME awesome awesome! SBR4 TT S sounds craaaazy!
Good job everyone
i am sad about this update
i was waiting huge update
new sounds good but not good enough
I wonder if anybody caught the pun "Sounds" like 0.10 is out! in the dev blog.
Also, I think the new sounds are beautiful. The new skidding sound is much better too, it makes burnouts so fun, even the small ones.
I advice to contact the Steam Support about this, that's a pretty common problem of theirs.
Wanna add one thing about automatic gearbox. You know , I play this beautiful shit with g27 steering wheel . And I love to load some loooong straight way road map and go with 25% of throttle and gears shifted about 2-3k RPM .Now at any percentage of throttle (10,50,100) the engine goes up to freakin 7000RPM and just then gear shifts. Excuse me for my language , I hope you realize me. Please fix it. And 3rd time : Freakin awesome sounds!!!!!!!
