Thanks for the report, just fixed it.
how fantastic! I updated my gpu drivers to fix the "gpu not responding" to the latest version and now ingame sound doesn't work either >:[
flying trees inside the red circle
All diesel engines should have an "idleRPMStartCoef" of 0. They shouldn't rev beyond idle speed on start-up.
This may apply to carburetted engines also, but somebody with more expertise should confirm that.
flying trees here many
i dont like how i cant go low resolution and full screen like it used to, and my skins glitch
Hello everyone, i'm here because of my son
he kept watching BeamNG on YT and ask if I could get him this game
we got the new update and now some of the mods wouldn't shift into the 2nd gear.
he ask me to help him, but i have no idea what to do.
prior to the update everything was fine.
also, he downloaded a Chevy Apache, which doesn't have tires and would move at all. it does rev up but no movement.
please let me know, if i have to remove the mods and "install" them again
i have to say, that the PC he is using is bare minimum
All-In-One Sony VAIO
2nd gen i7
8GB ram (will upgrade to 16GB next month)
and only 2GB GPU
won't give him mine, that's for work only
running all on the lowest graphic settings in the game, all original BeamNG vehicles, run great graphic loads fast, even on the low settings it is still enjoyable
thank you in advance for you feedback and help
P.S. he got me hooked too to the game, it's just a blast to crash with no real consequences
thnak you BeamNG community
This is due to downloading broken mods. As this game is early access it is subject to (and has) changed. These mods your son has downloaded are outdated and therefore will not work unless the creator updates it. You could potentially fix them yourself, although it requires some technical know-how.
Also, I should also mention to be careful which mods you download. The 'Chevy Apache' does not sound like a mod that has been uploaded onto these forums (unless I am mistaken). Please only download mods from this website only (either from the forums by manually installing the mods or through the in-game repository). Downloading mods from 3rd party 'Russian' sites is not recommended for many reasons, although the main reasons are:
Unsafe, potentially virus infected, files
Low quality 'meshslapped' mods
Unethical. (E.g. stolen intellectual property)
Hope this advice is useful
thank you for your quick reply
so in other words you saying, take this "fake" mods off and the once which wouldn't work anymore
as far i know, the mods come from either the repository or worldofmods (guess that's where he is getting them, he is only 10 years old)
what about sites like BeamNGdrivemods, is this another one to stay away from?
i'll block the other worldofmods from accessing it
as far as i understand, once the creator of a mod, within beamng, would update his creation, it automatically updates it in the game?
too new here to understand it all, but we'll get there
superchargers sound a little jittery now, and sirens and horns now warble even more at speed.
Very noticeable on the drag racing cars.
which driver did you install? is it the "Intel Graphics - Windows 10 DCH Drivers? From 8/1/2019?
--- Post updated ---
I noticed this in the loading screen. Look at the tip bar at the top middle.
The issue im having is whenever I try to switch to a new car with TAB i get only 30 fps until i restart the game...
Also all of the reworked maps now have fps issues...
Atleast BeamNG.drive is still playable. in order for me to reset the car, I have to do ctrl r so that the game doesn't crash
Few issues with drag race.
1. After green light AI sometimes will try to do J-turn, reverse all the way back to the gate or try reverse and then try to go in the middle of the track (yes, through concrete barriers next to the signals).
2. As above but very often causes by doing many times drag race via that menu. However if we let it go (meaning, after the results simply press Esc and follow AI all the way to the start point) AI will never do these things.
3. If we pause the game and start the drag race there is huge performance issue. Restarting the race without pausing the game simply fix it.
4. Doing many drag races causing drop of UI performance.
5. AI can't handle drag cars very well.
6. AI don't moving close enough to the start line in modern ETK cars. You need to push them.
7. One time one of the timers glitched and stopped showing the results. You need reload the map to fix it.
8. AI don't "see" the player after the race (when it will return to the starting point, if we are in the way, it will crash into player or other obstacle).
9. In the stats Barstow Nightsnake doing ~7 in 0-100 and Kingsnake have ~5, where in reality both doing almost same time.
In the bus campaign in the Action Chase mission AI car is crashing in to the first green screen.
On WCA there is dirt instead of solid concrete on the road from industrial to big bridge.
On ECA spawning on the bus stop there is pothole where next to it is invisible hole that sometimes can destroy the wheel.
Uninstall all of your mods, and then see I fix it works. If the game works after that, then don’t reinstall the mods.
If you didn’t get the mod from this website, it’s probably not good and will break.
Clicking "Accept" in Drag mode causes the Opponent car to reset.
I'm really starting to get pissed off... Can a dev explain in detail What this new "materials.json" thing is, and how the hell do we transition from using a materials.cs file to using the new format?
Or am I missing something here...
exactly this. I would like to know how to make a normal skin that isn't meant to be coloured. for my bluebuck skin I used the materials.cs, but I would like to use it for new skins
i'm not one to question / argue with the devs, because i'm not the one making the game, but why did the game move from using a .cs file for materials to a .json?
there wasn't anything wrong with the .cs files...
