Another thing i noticed is that the column shifter on the modern dashboard of the D-Series sits far to low.
On the old dashboard and the Roamer Dashboard its fine.

I just saw that the traffic cars have now more realistic colours, that’s great, I’ve been wanting that for some time now:)

I have an issue when swapping the 6.0 diesel into the D series trophy truck variants.
When I put any of the performance long blocks in it the truck refuses to turn over on the starter.
Works fine with stock, heavy duty and ultra heavy duty long blocks.

When you let off the starter after holding it, it tries to start for a second then stops.

I also tried a few missions on Johnson Valley and after completing the one where you tow the caravan back to the campsite. (It was pretty much in pieces when I finished the mission) after I completed it no other mission on any map would start for me. It would just bring up the radial menu when I would hit start mission.

    Anyone else having these issue?

Update is amazing. Loving every minute!

    Again, awesome update @Devs

BUG REPORTS - all verified in safe mode.

BUG REPORT 01 - Autobello Stambecco - Air intake
Air intake without snorkel is bugged. The vehicle can drive underwater without hydrolocking the engine. Adding the snorkel leads to the expected behavior with the engine only running into issues once the top end of the snorkel is under water.

BUG REPORT 02 - Autobello Stambecco - Air intake 02
Air intake seems unrealistic without the use of the snorkel: There is no way for the air to enter the pipe before the airfilter, the chassis/vehicle wall is in the way. The intake pipe basically tries to suck air from an enclosed space

BUG REPORT 03 - Autobello Stambecco - 3D model of petrol engine, petrol intake and petrol exhaust system is odd.

    • Air enters the pipe before the air filter and then the air filter. It then gets divided between two pipes. One pipe flow directly to the exhaust???
    • The second pipe goes into the carburetor as one would expect
    • It however has yet another junction that joins the first air intake pipe that ends up in the exhaust???
    • Finally following the airflow of the cooling air: Cooling air enters the engine via the fan and is then expelled through a comparable small looking pipe that leads to the exhaust system again.

This pipework feels odd:confused:. Not quite sure why part of the intake air should go directly to the exhaust? I can somewhat understand intake air being diverted away before the carburetor (if the throttle closes quickly, you could get rid of excess air by dumping it directly into the exhaust but why the long piping from air filter to exhaust?

Blowing cooling air into the exhaust after leaving the engine via a relative small pipe also brings up questions. Why not simple exhaust the air downwards... why the extra effort to put it into the exhaust:confused:?

    • Following the fuel line from the petrol tank (the diesel tank does not have one), it leads to a single cylinder. Not the carburetors. This cylinder also seem to be missing a spark plug cable.... and the distributor in fact only seems to have 5 spark plug cables besides the engine having 6 cylinders.:p Instead it has a single cable going to the other side of the engine:confused:.

In the following video, I follow the expected way that air/exhaust will take in the petrol configuration of the Stambecco to display the issues I mentioned above. I also show of the odd way the spark plug cables (only 5? for 6 cylinders?) take and how the fuel line - seems to be transformed into a spark plug wire troughout its journey.

May I kindly request that you verify/explain the logic of this particular pipework, fuel line target and spark plug cables? :)

IKR?! It was so needed. Once I had a pink LeGran following a lime green van with an orange 800-Series in the oncoming lane. Like, really? I’m so glad it’s been updated.

For this, noting the suspension geometry on the front, you'd have to put the diff right in the center with no offset to allow for a driveshaft from a transfer case to the front diff. On top of that, you couldn't think about getting a driveshaft there, with all the suspension components and a whole firewall in the way.

So there is a bug where when you turn off the vehicle with v or another assigned button then hit the throttle or brake it turns the vehicle back on again. Can this be fixed? Cause it is extremely annoying to deal with.

I didn't notice until exploring world editor, but this vehicles materials opacity map is slightly incorrect, midtruck_main.skin.Team_offroad. A floating rock off the SW corner of the race track too, unless it's aliens.

You are probably in arcade gearbox mode. This mode automatically starts vehicles when you move forward/backward.

I believe we got the vehicles/parts going invisible whilst using the Vehicle Config UI bug fixed, but I'm a little lost on how people are having their previous vehicles go invisible when spawning/switching to a new one or going into walking mode without seeming to have interacted with anything else. If you have any more information on the bug, please let me know :)

I had been trying to figure this out since yesterday, and I can confirm what you suggested works. Definitely not ideal because I have to put the game on 1% volume but at least the sounds work.

A minor detail I just noticed: the Wendover doesn't fully react to the new ignition system. The digital screen and dashboard stay on when the ignition is turned all the way off.

Sun breaks when on lowest lighting setting, the glow effect around it is a square.

Update is amazing though! You devs give us so much for so little in return! The quality of BeamNG in unmatched. So many fun new toys to play with out in the desert. I've never been an offroading guy but this update has made me one!

ill be honest it just seems to be happening randomly, for me it happens most on beammp but still on normal beam sometimes. ctrl r always seems to fix it but it's still a pain. its almost like a vehicle gets cursed sometimes because it just constantly goes invisible when you tab or get out of it but other vehicles spawned at the same time are fine

The race intake on the Dunekicker uses the model for the supercharger.

The new update is wonderful, the Stambecco and Wydra are quite unique (compared to other cars in game), a highway longer then a mile is nice to have, and the off-road focus is a nice change of pace (and made me realize I'm not as good at it as I thought, thankfully the trophy truck suspension is very forgiving lol). I've also noticed the bugs:content ratio has been going down over time, in both this update and the last there's haven't been as many severe bugs as before.

    A few that I've found:
    • New buildings on West Coast USA disappear when zooming out, instead of turning into a cube:
    20221213223828_1.jpg 20221213223829_1.jpg
    • Wheels on the FPU break easily and turn invisible when they do:
    20221214174238_1.jpg
    • Johnson Valley has the same black lines on the pavement that plagues East Coast USA and Italy. The passing lanes also use 1:1 gaps in the line when the US standard is 1:3, it's the tiniest nitpick but having twice as many dashed lines is a bit ugly.
    • The small hill on the southern part of the Johnson Valley highway has some unnatural bumps, it's quite harsh in sporty cars and will bounce you off the road at high speed
    • The Sportivo front tires for 20x11 rims are incorrectly labelled:
    upload_2022-12-14_17-21-34.png
    • Typo in the Rockbasher:
    20221214175900_1.jpg
    • The Rockbasher has some extreme suspension wobble while accelerating in reverse

I also swear West Coast USA looks better then it did in 0.26, I didn't see anything on the changelog but textures look better and it doesn't feel as excessively bright. More PBR and lighting adjustments maybe?
