Tires can be odd at times. Just look at my tests below witht he Stambecco that has some rather unsettling results.

What is animated or not animated seems to be random. New vehicles like the Vivace have no animations at all while the brand new Lansdale has some.

I would just wish that we would get more animated moving parts in general. Especially for EVs were with the exception of the E-SBR front motor, nothing moves at all. Since an EV doesnt have an driveshaft that spins at several thousands RPMs at higher speeds, one would wish for that at least the halfshafts would move.

the idea with the test is good, but the realization could be better, it is not entirely clear how points (1) and (3) differ, it is also not clear on what surface the subsequent tests were carried out, it is better to use rear-wheel drive cars, where the spread of numbers will be more obvious, and I would like to see the behavior of slicks,

This isn't related to the game, it's a bug with the beamng site, or forums.i've recently noticed that in the "Troubleshooting: Bugs, Questions and Support" section both in the main page of it, and in every thread located there, on the top of them, the place that it says you have to check the game discussion thread before reporting something, instead of 0.29 (0.29.1, to be exact), witch is latest version of the game, it says 0.28 discussion thread, and when you click on it, it also send you to the 0.28 discussion thread, witch is locked and outdated.

We need to standardize tire grip coefficients by formula, contact patch formula, tire type and down the list, from the physics point of view now it looks wrong, the coefficients are spinning as they want.... So now we have a problem where race tires have more grip on dirt than off-road tires, either the problem is in the calculation formula.
It looks very silly when an SUV can't go uphill on gravel, while a sports car on race tires has that capability due to power

    Well...
After I tried 0.29 it was great, but when I loading up an Italy map it got blue screen for me:p
(But other maps run good without BSOD whatsoever)

I agree even though you would be surprised how far you can get with slicks:rolleyes:

I can believe that) I'd like to find head-to-head comparisons from real life, of different types of tires

The trees on this corner love eating cars really violently - even 100% pull can't get them free - and the trees around seem to be fine

The turbo on the sbr4 engine in the piccolina doesn’t connect to anything and the hosing for the intercooler is quite odd

I noticed some massive performance issues after you collect 1000 pieces of trash or more during the scatterpickup (trash grab) missions. This isn't really a big problem since adding that much trash is a little bit much and most (if not all) missions wouldn't even get close to that number...

Although I was playing around with that mission type and noticed once you collect 1000 pieces or more my FPS would drop to 15-30FPS (down from 100+ FPS). I made a test mission with a massive field of trash and once it loaded the counter showed around 5000 pieces. My performance was perfectly fine driving near or on the trash even with 5000 pieces spawned in and on the screen at the same time. There was also very little or no performance hit after collecting a several hundred pieces. So I don't feel the amount of trash being rendered is the issue at all, I think its all down to the coding on how the trash is collected.

Once I would get near 1000 collected my performance was a bit laggy, then once it was beyond 1200 or so my performance went right down to 15FPS and stayed there for as long as the mission was running. I tried this on two different maps and both would have 100+ FPS with the 5000 pieces on screen, but once you collect above 1000 pieces the performance would tank every time right around the 1000 pieces mark. Its easily repeatable. I even tried reducing the field down to 1500 total pieces, but once again right around 1000 pieces collected it would get laggy.

Like I said, its not too big of a deal since 5000 or even 1000 pieces is a bit much for a mission, but regardless there are still some heavy performance issues with that mission type if you were to make large amount of trash to collect.

With some mods the navigation screen (usually etk800_screen) is only displaying "no materials" after the 0.29 update. Has there been any changed to the etk800 or common files regarding the functioning of the nav display? Any idea how to fix it? Thank you for any help to everyone :)

I haven't checked all of my mods but the [ BMW X6M ] and the [ BMW 1-Series ] are the ones I have found. But the other 20 or so that I tried did not have any issues.

And it's only with the GPS that's in a dash not the windscreen one. I mostly ran out of ideas especially if nothing at all has changed from 0.27 or 0.28 to 0.29 update. And I'm 85% sure I have used them in update 0.28 and it only showd up in 0.29

I don't know if this has been posted before, but still:
No visible part of the "Locking Low-Range AWD Transfer Case" on the Soliad Lansdale (which is installed on the "Overland" version, but this error is not visible due to the skidplate)
The second picture shows an example with a different type of transfer case, where this part are in place.
