welp, the fifth wheel is broken for mods... can't use my jobuilt phantom or my mlt packer :'(
great update tho

 

When will we get real H/Lrange and splitters for the big truck manual transmissions, so we can have a proper 18speed. The range change right now is a start but shouldn't be tied to a transfer case low range input, also should be a momentary input option for the range/splitter shift knobs out there.

 

Must be something wrong on your end because i just used it in career mode and works just like before

 

I think it could be done simply by having 2 transfer cases to simulate the range and split

Is centering on release works flawlessly?

 

This is not necessarily a complaint, but the PTO automatically turns the pump on which doesn't entirely make sense, the PTO shouldn't be usable unless you have turned the pump on

 

Yeah, it won't work when standing still to allow you to look around but as soon ad you move it snaps to the center and allows you to look left/right/back instantly without waiting for the camera to slowly spin. It's exactly the same behaviour as before

 

Sure it just needs to be couple 2 speed gear boxes after the main trans but they need there own input to shift them. They also should not be able to be shifted with the power on also, like in a real truck where you need to let off the gas to get them to shift.

I liked this update, and the new UI app for the hotfix. Simple and effective for racing in BeamMP and just normal single-player gameplay.

Although the Gavril T-series default config option being a Sleeper config is kind of annoying but that's just nitpicking imo.

The bug of the invisible car still remains after the hotfix. Basically what happens is that when i spawn in a car, sometimes the parts in the vehicle configurator are just set to invisible.

 

Someone has faced the problem that when driving a police car, violators do not appear

 

how do you put the cargo on the car

 

When I connect a trailer to the T-Series with a Door open, the door no longer closes/latches. No matter how softly I hitch it (meaning I am not breaking door by slamming it). Anyone else?

Not truck driving currently but as a CDL holder 0.31 is my favorite update so far in over 7 years of Beam. Great step in adding more realism to Beam trucking. Looking forward to a fleshed out career mode to put all the new heavy haul equipment to work (hopefully including aggregate loads for dump bodies, heavy tow/recovery rigs and logging stuff in the future).

Curious about a long standing minor oddity I've had going multiple versions back that persists beyond reinstalls, cache clearing, file integrity verification, deleting appdata, etc; Is losing paint metallicness/roughness on custom presets still a known issue?

hm, that doesn't seem right...

 

It seems truck's steering feels way too loose/weak (speaking from FFB perspective). And there are even no power steering under hood.
