A few minor bugs noticed while playing career mode (no active mods):

Tasticola Delivery (or restock) 1 & 2 - trailer spawned as BeamNG.drive skin not Tasticola which is shown in preview picture

Recent Logbook Entries (ESC menu - Career Tab) will show new challenges as they get unlocked - although when you click them it opens the logbook to the info tab - I assume that when clicked it should actually open the map so you can see where it is and\or to set route.

Also a few suggestions\feedback after playing a couple hours of career mode:

BeamXP, Bonus (blue) Stars, and BeamBucks$ should be shown on the map screen. Its currently only on the ESC Menu Career Tab (box in top right corner), but when driving around the level and quickly going between missions I was only ever opening the map screen. I was trying to get a few missions done to make enough money to buy a vehicle - but after each mission I had to keep going to the ESC menu to see my cash, then back to the map screen. Not a huge deal, but with the map screen being used 9 times out 10 when opening any menus it would be nice to have a little more info on that screen.

buying parts would be much easier if it was laid out like freeroam parts config
-just select parts like in freeroam, and then any changes made get added to the shopping cart
-the current list of parts is just way too long and unorganized
-tab for uninstalled parts\parts you can sell

the ability to buy parts in sets
-suspension - both front and rear with one click
-full brake set - front and rear, brakes and pads

Mechanical Skill leveling (maybe every part install and self repair gives some XP). A beginner is not going to be doing an engine swap or installing a roll cage on their own. So until you level up enough for more difficult installs there should be garages throughout map which offer advanced repairs and installs, upgrade parts packages\sets, or specialized parts that aren't off the shelf

    garages around the map examples:
-basic shops offering full brake sets or full suspension sets
-advanced shops offering engine swaps and any difficult installs\repairs
-race shops that offer race engines that wouldn't be available in the normal parts shop
-race shops - full race kit - roll cage, race engine, race suspension, race tires, etc

I get its all a WIP so some of my suggestions may already be WIP, but either way, I think these would all make a nice addition to the game. Regardless, thanks for all the hard work you all put into every update. Every single update gives a nice glimpse of whats to come and I can already tell it will be amazing. ♥

This will be my first real post on here in probably 5 years or so, some of you might remember me as far back as 2007 or 2008 in the ROR community.

Firstly, Im hugely impressed with the remastered trucks, I love the attention to detail, especially for a 70s-80s truck.

However there are few small things I'd like to bring attention to.

    1. Air suspension operation.
In the tuning menu you can change the bag pressure. You really shouldn't be able to change that yourself, as that's operated by a leveling valve on the rear suspension, it's job is to increase or decrease pressure depending on the weight on the truck, doing whatever it needs to maintain the same ride height. Also should be a switch on the dash to dump the air, to get the back of the truck as low as possible, which is handy for things like getting under low trailers, or using dump trailers, where you would want as steady of a platform as possible when dumping. All of our long dump trailers are air ride as well, which greatly improves stability when dumping.

    2. PTO tower. (Really just aesthetic)
There needs to be a second lever on the PTO tower, currently there is an engage and disengage lever, but not one to actually operate the hydraulics. At least that's how all of our trucks are.

    3. Hydraulic tank.
There isn't one. This goes with the PTO levers. There's a PTO tower, implying the truck has a wetkit, but there is no hydraulic tank to be found. Dump trailers and other trailers with hydraulics don't have their own hydraulic tank, it comes from the tractor.

    4. Quarter Fenders
There aren't any. This isnt really incorrect, as lots of trucks in the late 70s didn't have them, but it seems strange to not even have the option, especially for the nicer trucks.

    5. CB antennas
Again, there aren't any. Just a little detail that seems to be missing, especially considering there is a very nicely modeled, period correct radio inside.

    6. Stacks for the stand up sleepers.
Even the "Long" stacks still come about 8-10 inches short of matching the height of the stand up sleeper on the conventional, or the air intakes on the double bunk cabover. With a conventional you'd want the exhaust to slightly clear or at least be even with the highest point of the sleeper, otherwise eventually you'd get black marks from the exhaust over time, and obviously you wouldn't want the intakes directly above the exhaust.

I know the 8 inch aftermarket pipes clear everything, but I'm referring to factory equipment.

    7. Jake brake.
Overall I'd say the sounds are amazing, engine sounds themselves are a solid 9.5/10, definitely getting a solid Big Cam Cummins-ey feel there. However I feel the Jake Brake sound is poor. In-cab sounds decent enough, however outside I honestly think it sounds terrible. Like a 8-bit machine gun.

This isn't important at all, but I'd personally like to see a headache rack available.

All of this is so true! Thanks for writing this out; I'm probably too lazy to do all that.

Thanks for those words, I really appreciate them, knowing that not many people will actually truly understand the complexity of the systems we design and implement.
That being said, that's exactly the goal really, things ideally are so transparent that they just work and you don't really notice anything about them other than the occasional "huh, why is this so weird, oh, ah, this is just how this works in reality, TIL".
But you are probably right about selling things short in some places, thinking about it, I think I came to judge my success mostly by the lack of "wrong" things and less so by the existance of "good" things...

Yea, we know... It's... difficult :(

Is there anything wrong with using the arcade ABS setting for that? Can we improve there?

Let me answer for these together since they are somewhat similar and have the same background. There's often one thing we try to avoid: Including content that is complex enough to fail, but is not used on any config.
Just from experience, things that are not part of the normal configs might as well not exist when it comes to spotting issues with them over time. It's very likely to miss issues that happens a few updates after the initial release and then things might just sit there being broken...
Another reason that can always be the case is simply lack of time. If we had unlimited time, we'd probably have all of these things, but yea, time is definitely not unlimited :D

Anyway, thanks again for this well put-together post and the time you spent writing this. :)

I was a little surprised when I saw the remaster still had manually controlled bag pressure. It's might be difficult to program a virtual ride height valve, but IMO that's a pretty fundamental part of air suspension on a truck.
This depends on if the truck is set up for dump trailers or just lowboys and other trailers that have their own valves, but since the only trailer we have right now is an end dump I agree we should have a hoist valve of some kind, a cable operated one would probably be more period correct.
Speaking of the aftermarket stacks, would you agree that miters (slash cuts, whatever they're called) are usually facing backwards and bullhorns are usually at a 45? Right now they're both facing sideways and it looks a little goofy to me, but maybe it's a regional thing.

P.S. Good to see you back, it's been a while.

Hello I have a question. Why don't my custom vehicles appear in (custom PC configurations) but do appear in (stock vehicles)? This was not the case before. Do I have to look for a tab or something?

Probably because you enabled "show custom pc configurations" and they appear in stock vehicles.
To properly browse through your configs, use vehicle editor.
There is a tab (iirc) called "configurations", and there are all your custom configs.
If by "my custom vehicles don't appear in custom pc configuration" you mean that they don't appear in the tab in vehicle editor, sadly, i can't help.
there might be some mistakes, because i didn't play beam for a week or so, because my steam recap says that i played 200 times, and i don't want to change that :p

Thanks, it only happens in the garage, in free driving I can choose the cars as usual, I check the box and that's it, but it doesn't apply to the garage, it's not a big problem either. Thank you very much for your answer.

I don't know if anyone other have already encounter this bug, but with the shipping container trailer, when you select double 20ft, and you load 12000kg of crates in the 20ft shipping container, the back load is visible through the doors, but not with the front one.

A small suggestion about the Trailer Air Supply and Power Take Off systems (plus the electrical supply on the trailers): shouldn't the upfits and trailers also have high-pressure lines (which look like large spirals) to connect to the tractors (which by themselves should have provisions for these lines)? Because right now, even though this isn't even remotely true, it seems like these systems work with a bit of gaming magic in the mix. High-pressure lines certainly would add even more to the trucking immersion! :)
    Merry Christmas! ;)

Found another glitch: with the full 1740l fuel tank capacity (don't know about the other capacities), when you put LOL (or when you adjust how much LOL you want), the Vehicle Debug UI app somehow only recognizes the two 500l tanks below the sleeper, for a total of 1000l, which is a mistake.

The Roamer Belasco City Police Department config has no shifter needle in the dashboard's gauge cluster.
This is the gearModeIndex prop in the roamer_shifter_police_A part:
    Code:
    ["gearModeIndex", "roamer_needle_gear", "dsh","dshl","dsh2", {"x":-80 "y":180, "z":180}, {"x":0, "y":0, "z":0}, {"x":-0.095, "y":0, "z":0}, 0, 1, 0, 1],
    After changing it to
    Code:
    ["gearModeIndex", "roamer_needle_gear", "dsh","dshl","int_strw", {"x":-10 "y":0, "z":0}, {"x":0, "y":0, "z":0}, {"x":-0.17, "y":0, "z":0}, 0, 1, 0.05, 0.9],
the needle finally appeared in the police dashboard's gauge cluster, in correct spot for each gear mode.

    Long time no see man.

Good point on the lowboy vs dump trailer thing, I hadn't thought about that, we've only got one RGN that uses the tractors hydraulics, while the other three all have pony engines.

And yes, I'd agree that aftermarket stacks are angled strangely, I've seen bullhauler stacks turned straight out like that, but not particularly often, and never that large. And yes, the miter cuts are 90* from where they belong, I've never seen that before.

@stenyak Any chance the left hand traffic issue in automation test track is in your radar ? Ever since the .31, the road rules config in all RHD maps have stopped working. So cars now drive like left hand drive countries in automation test track and other RHD maps.

Is it just me, or was the H-Series offroad config updated in this update?
