The new files should help. With any issues you can always try to hit CTRL+L after you load into career mode and it will reload all the LUA files, this usually fixes any issues I run into. During testing on my editing system as well as a separate gaming system (with completely unmodded BeamNG - besides the mod being tested) it was working just fine. ALL mods were tested today, by themselves and all together. Although one or two people have mentioned that the police wont show up for them (with the 0.31 version) no matter what. If you still cant get it to work after the new files then im not sure what the issue is - but thats why I have posted these mods as Experimental since all of career mode is WIP.
I reloaded and i finally saw my first Police Vehicle Just now, thanks for the great Modding Career Mode. its been super fun especially with those Extra Mods, really looking forward to what you gunna cook up next!
hello, i just found out this mod and really want it but i have no idea of how i do to use it, like in wich folders i need to put them, in repo ? on the game files ? idk
Since when this mod first came out, I've been unzipping rezipping the west coast zip. oops. Always worked that way anyways. Everybody time the game updated, it always redownload the messed-with files.
Thanks, I added a line on my first post to mention to just to place the zip into the mods folder for those who arent used to modding outside of the repo. The mods folder is basically used to mirror the install folder, so you can mod the game without having to touch the original files. If you noticed with this mod its set up with the folders inside the zip with \levels\westcoastusa\ and then all the files. And when you open the original westcoastusa.zip it also has \levels\westcoastusa\ folders. So with any mod, as long as its properly set up to mirror the original install folders you can just place the zip into the mods folder and it will work without issue.
Yeah, When I found your mod I hadn't seen any information about where to install it, but I already deduced that it was supposed to be in Mods Folder (duh hahaha). It's even a very necessary mod to expand the Carrer Mode, i loved
dealer mods wont work with the RLS Expansion, sadly. nothing shows for either of them, but the energy station works! tried it on a vanilla save though and its quite useful :>
Maybe next week I can get to it, but right now I dont have the free time to test it out. The other mods were mostly a copy\paste type of thing wereas the cargo system got several updates that changed how the cargo list is spawned. Its not too different, but it changed enough I couldn't just make the same edits I did last time. Not sure what RLS expansion is, but if it changes anything with career mode, WCUSA, dealerships, or any thing else my mods do then they are almost certainly modding the exact same files I did - meaning you would have to choose one mod or the other. If you open up both mods and look at files in the ZIP, you can confirm this if they have the same folder layout and same file names. With new maps\cars you can add them separately alongside the original content but with career mode modding you have to modify the career mode coding files. -one of the reasons I didnt upload to the REPO. Glad you found some use of them though.
I took your old Increased cargo mod and utilized it to find out what I needed to change in the current game files to spawn more cargo. Utilizing the new game files, I changed the values required based on your old files (5 & 10) to spawn more. The advanced unlock from your old files gave a lot of bugs, so it's strictly that the amount of cargo is increased. I left the values for the number of cars and trailers alone, as I thought enough of them already spawned. I removed all of the Json files from your folder since they didn't work and replaced them with the altered 0.32 files. I'll upload it with this post so you can give it a try and make any changes you see fit. I haven't had any issues with my new files, and they still work the same as yours (add folder to mod folder and play). THIS FILE IS INTENDED TO HELP 23Terrabytes, NOT INTENDED FOR EXTENSIVE USE! THIS IS STILL A WIP SO NOT ALL BUGS ARE KNOWN YET!!! PLAY WITH AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I currently have your increased dealership inventory, more dealers, and menu unlocker activated. I haven't had any issues playing with them alongside it. Should you decide to post this mod @23Terrabytes ALL credit is YOURS, as I wouldn't have had a clue what to change without your effort for 0.31. I appreciate all your time and effort and wanted to return the favor, hope this helps!
Not trying to come out as rude, but if you read the desc you would see that it said you just had to slide it in the mod folder, but if that didn't work I apologize frfr
Nice! Glad you got it work. The amounts I used for my mods are more or less just a random amount or a best estimate - so if anyone has an recommended changes feel free to let me know. Whether its traffic and police amounts, dealership refresh rates, or how many vehicles are in stock per dealer. Are you still using the old files I uploaded for 0.31? I have removed all outdated files and replaced them with freshly made files using version 0.32.1.0.16389 to make these mods. All mods are working for that game version. If your game isnt fully updated to that version or if you havent downloaded this mod on or after April 24, 2024 then you just need to redownload the newest version of this mod and replace (or delete) the originals.
