it sucks that you have to delay the update, but i figure that the longer it takes, the better it will be. keep doing a great job, i love your game!

You should make a post going over all of those harder problems. I would be very interested to hear about the problems you guys are trying to solve.

If I were to hazard a guess, is it a lot of thermal/fluid dynamics simulations that need to both be of high quality while also being performant enough for the physics engine to keep up with? I remember hearing about work on tire thermals a long time ago, and that definitely sounds like a non-trivial problem given the fact that it would likely require performing complex thermodynamics calculations at a sample rate fast enough to work with tires spinning well in excess of 300 MPH.

BeamNG is like a great wine: you have to let it take its time and mature for being able to enjoy it to the fullest! :)

In the meantime, I'll keep top-speeding my custom-made twin-turbo Rennspecht 8R Wagon in Italy! This thing is a beast!

Out of curiosity, in the future will any of the concepts of cars that were put away ever come to the game like the Charmand?

I've read every question in this thread so far, and I'm surprised nobody has asked about generative AI yet. I appreciate that it's still an emerging technology when it comes to video games, but now that AI is capable of generating code, music, textures etc, has AI been able to help speed up or assist with development in any way?

And have you had many submissions to the mod repo that have looked obviously AI-generated, or come up with a policy to address those? I imagine once someone comes up with a tool that lets anyone in the community generate a mod in one click by describing what they wish to see, it will usher in a wave of mods that have never been thought of before... and lots of lower-quality versions of mods that already exist, haha

How DARE YOU delay a free update with content after 10 years of free content updates to make sure its properly polished and not shoved for a deadline? Think about poor Ubisoft and EA's feeling when someone outplays them!

Joke aside, you said AMA so...

How are you enjoying VS and what language is that in the pic? I've so far had nothing but a fantastic experience with it and with intellisense it seems to be the best IDE in the world, even if I have to deal with microsoft being microsoft and no linux support. But I wanted to hear the opinion of people that work with it.

So, I'm guessing they're doing some major polishing? I'm not complaining. I've been waiting for a new sedan/SUV or an improvement to AI, so take as much time as you need!

Thanks for supporting the game for so many years with free updates! Two questions from me:
    1. Have you considered doing official DLC to help make BeamNG.drive's development more sustainable? It would cause some angst in the community because we've gotten used to free cars and maps, but if it would make financial sense, I think explaining the rationale would cause many people to go "OK, we've gotten free updates for 10 years, DLC now is fair enough to support the life of the game."
    2. Would going to 2 major updates per year instead of ~3 help with making updates more content/feature-packed? Putting out 3 big updates (sometimes 4!) per year sometimes seems like updates don't get the development time they need, and having 2 updates that significantly change the game (new car/new map/new gameplay) twice a year sounds like plenty.
