I dunno. I am learning as I go. I am still looking for a solution. But I don't see where there is a difference in the brakes for the vanilla cars.
It's fixed. It was the wheels. They were set to self ignite and ignite at only 300C. Now they neither rim will self ignite, and even if it does, it will not be until it reaches 1000C or 1830F. I will upload the fix soon along with some other bugs I found and a new carbon-ceramic brake rotor model for the Base J58 and LM!

Finally getting around to driving it (the LM specifically), it's a blast. At lower speeds the grip can slightly bite you back given it has so much of it, it can sometimes flip lmao
Did you delete the old .zip's? Only file you should have in the repo folder for this mod is civetta_j58_v3_hotfix_4.zip. --- Post updated --- I am thinking of limiting the steering to stop people from flipping the car. I can't make the car completely idiot proof. Try to not turn so tight before the downforce can kick in.
Great mod!! Good work, the 3D model is good, and it handles great while also trying to kill you, really cool. Openable doors would be the cherry on the cake but hey it's great anyway. One thing I'd change are the colors of the configs, lot of them are too similar, so they're hard to recognize at first glance and not tasteful (the green, blue and pink are plain ugly imo). If I were you I'd make them more diverse, and in the iconic Ferr*ri colors (Yellow, metallic grey, French racing blue, etc), with different levels of clearcoat and metalness too because they're a bit flat.
They are not metallic, because they are made from carbon fibler with a very thin layer of paint on top, that is why you can see the carbon-kevlar weave in the sunlight reflections. There is no exterior body panel made from metal, hence kinda flat and shiny clear coat paint. They came only in red canonically, so the LM that is red is a legit version owned by a racing team. Chassis 002 and 005 were stolen, the unrestricted LM had its chassis# scratched off after it was stolen, and all of them were repainted dark colors so they would be harder to see at night during street races. The Track Attack is officially an unauthorized version not used in competitive racing made for going at the limit of the cars' capabilities on a track. I cannot comment on the "why why why" and "Death Trap" configs, because they were not made by me; they were made by Alex. They probably just changed the color and left it on default settings, so the paint looks like crap. If you don't like the colors, just change them. I don't care. The cars tell a story in one way or another if you read the descriptions. Bottom line: The cars are painted the way they are for reasons. I put thought into the look of their paint, and they are deliberately painted the way they are on purpose --- Post updated --- Thank you for the critique! I appreciate the feedback. I do have one thing to say, and it’s only a little detail that bugs me. Can it have the normal crank windows as an option so it’s not the race windows all the time so that it can look more like a factory f40? As if I’m wrong do correct me, but didn’t the road version have crank windows?

If I like them, I will add them to the next update! The factory "Civetta J58" has no crank windows. It is a slide window like in the mod. Some people added roll down windows after technology allowed the glass to withstand the wind pressure of 200 MPH without being so reinforced. It added weight though, but people didn't care because they wanted a damn window to get coffee at a drive through LOL. Maybe it is only the euro spec car, but it has slider windows from factory that are lexan, I believe. The ones you see with glass windows may or may not be factory , but when the car first came out, for sure, they were slider windows with no cranks. Dicast car, but still accurate. Please don't use any F word on here, unless you want the car to get removed by a certain car brand.
Well I just looked into it. The first 50 had sliding lexan and after that they had roll down windows. So if it’s one of the first 50 we are representing then yeah sliding lexan, but after that it would be correct to have rolling windows. I am corrected they made 95 with the sliding lexan out of the total 1,000 if I got my numbers right
The wiper should be gone? let me check. I believe I removed the wipers from the model. Edit: Yeah.....the model doesn't have the wipers on it. You have an old version of the mod in your repo folder or something. Remove the other versions from the repo folder. The only version you should have is civetta_j58_v3_hotfix_4.zip. Delete the .cdae models in the temp/vehicles/j58 folder, too. Just in case, also remove the file that is from the original release Alex did before I joined on and replaced it with mine. It would be called j58.zip, I think.

Please extract the file main.materials.json from civetta_j58_v3_hotfix_4.zip. mainmaterials.json is not valid.
