After the update the Burnside got all messed up. Smooth gauges stopped working and even the blinker stalk is all sharp and janky now. Ive also noticed that the eyelids of the headlights have disappeared. It can be installed on the car through the parts menu but it doest appear on the car. Literally unplayable
Does this happen also in latest hotfix versions (v0.35.2 or newer)? If so, please reply with a support ID number so I can take a look. Thanks! https://supportid.beamng.com/
Thanks for reporting! We've fixed this internally, not sure if the fix will make it to a v0.35 hotfix or to v0.36 in some months.
how to put my mods in 0.35 (beamng thread mods) --- Post updated --- because my repository mod folder is called "mods" so i dont know what to do
Put your mods In this folder. I assume you mean zip files? If theyre zips, drop them in here, not repo. Repo is for repo mods only downloaded by the game. Unpacked is for mods which have been unzipped by the game or yourself. If you were creating a mod, you'd put your folder in here to make it easier and faster to edit and update You can create sub-folders in the mods directory to organize things a bit better if you need to
I could not find a report about this, sorry if someone already did. The BX exhausts seem to be broken, i have tested only the 2l engine so far. Exhaust sound sounds really bad, if the exhaust is removed the original sound is played.
Shouldn't the halogen dimming effect when starting the engine only be present in older cars ? Why do modern cars in the game like the Sunburst have it?
The alternator powers most of the power once the engine is running, so if the engine nearly stalls, the headlights will dim due to less power. Same as when having the headlights on when starting. The starter draws too much power and the lights level dims, due to voltage drop. Only LED's shouldnt suffer from this issue as theyre much more efficient and draw less power
Even in modern cars with halogens? Do you have any irl examples of such dimming of halogen lights in modern cars?
I've seen a few cars that dim and use halogen lights, I believe they do. Mostly whenever they're parking in a parking lot or starting on a hill I've seen. I even saw the headlights on a bus dim one time when the bus stopped, and that was made in 2016, so engine capacity and age doesn't matter much
I did the same and it worked fine, are you sure the file is in the right place? It should be in settings > inputmaps --- Post updated --- I've driven a 2014 Opel Astra, it actually turns the headlights fully off when cranking, and you can see the lights dimming when turning the wheel at idle because the powersteering draws power
What headset are you using, and connecting to the computer in which way? (wire vs wireless, steamvr vs virtualdesktop vs airlink vs...) Also, can you please paste a support ID number? https://supportid.beamng.com/
EDIT: IT'S NOT A BUG!!! (you can read more about this on the next pages) original: found a bug, the writing on the right side of the sunburst drift gear paint is mirrored
