Very cool update! I like the idea of the new freeroam menu, especially the ability to set traffic and time of day conditions before loading into the game. As a minor tweak, it would be nice if the time progression setting in the free roam menu actually said how long a day/night cycle would take. Ex. 2 hours, 60 minutes, 20 minutes rather than "slow, normal, and fast". Burnout Paradise did this and it worked well in that game without being intimidating. At the moment, there is also one repeatable bug with the menu: when you have selected a map, spawn location, vehicle, and config, highlighting the traffic or time options with a controller will instantly launch the chosen freeroam map if you opened the menu from inside an existing freeroam map. This does not happen when you launch a freeroam from the main menu, after first loading the game. Replicated in safe mode in the attached video (DualSense, using native input mode and not Steam Input).
With these heavy machinery, i would say they need some grime on them, especially dust and dirt. windscreens are too clean as well. I would look for a new camera postion when "exiting" these vehicles, a spot where there are clear stairs to climb up. Despite beeing able to tow, you should need an air compressor system for the trailer to provide it with air. surely that can be installed.
Love the update, I also really like the new damage message icons, but I feel like there could be more variety to them. An example is the engine oil critically low and starved of oil messages should replace the engine icon to a oil icon similar to this. It's also easier to tell what's broken at a glance. It looks way better with the oil icon Same thing with the radiator damaged messages, it looks better with their own radiator icon An example of how it could look:
Tried 8+ deliveries in the Garage to Garage in the Quarry scenario, and it was fun! I liked that there was a wide variety of vehicles, from a Miramar ute to a T-series (basically, anything that could conceivably be used in a quarry). I don't know if any deliveries take place between the "cutting warehouse" and other parts of the quarry, but that would be cool as a longer route. Now we just need some European commercial vans and heavy-duty trucks to fit the region... I also tried the rally mode with liaisons, and it was quite cool with a lot of potential. One thing I'm confused by is: why are the speed limits in the liaisons 100+ km/h (up to 130) when the speed limits on highways and in cities are 80 and 50 km/h? If the goal is to drive carefully and obey speed limits during liaisons, shouldn't the speed limits be much lower to be realistic?
Same issue for me as well. Disabled all map mods. No difference. Then also skyboxes. No difference. Eventually disabled all 50 mods and then new Italy works. Can't narrow down the culprit yet...
After the update tires seem to have different properties when it comes to traction and friction. Drift tires are a LOT more grippy, they used to be similar to sport tires. Sport tires lose almost all grip below about 20kph, making drifting around roundabouts very unpredictable. Grip-All Radial T/A tires also affected. Lowering tire pressure helps a little bit but I cannot eliminate the inconsistent friction amount. Might be a bug, or a result of new physics being tried out with this update (although I didn't see any mention in the update notes)
im having a weird issue with the wheeloader the joystick moves in the cab but the machine refuses to turn i cant figure out what the problem might be anyone know what might be wrong?
To find the mod that causes it more quickly, disable half of them and see if it's fixed. if yes, it's in that half, if no, the other half. Repeat until you are left with 1. It's tedious, but then you know for sure which one you need to disable until it is updated (let the mod maker know)
dunnow if it can help you but it's one of them that caused the bug, caus' I don't have the problem anymore
This helped immensely and I got lucky. Activated a bunch of 10 mods at a time and problem immediately returned. Found it to be Stunt Missions mod that is breaking my Italy map. Seems to be fine now...
im having a weird issue with the wheeloader the joystick moves in the cab but the machine refuses to turn i cant figure out what the problem might be anyone know what might be wrong? the steering works in the dump truck and every other car but not the wheeloader
I cannot get over the details on this new machinery! The new shadow system is amazing too! Maps looks much prettier and I can finally use a lower shadow resolution without it looking sad!
Thank you for the information. I had tried disabling mods, and confirmed in safe mode that it wasn't just my imagination. Based on your information I did a file integrity check, which found a couple issues. It's back to normal behaviour now, much appreciated!
