Mainly just the interior needs work.

I bet my life savings this guy would complain if they removed all these “useless” props. Its not like props take months of work overwriting time to make vehicles.

Oh, no. Crash Master doesn't like the update!...Some random guy who made a youtube video with an AI voiceover. Not everything added is going to be what everyone wants every time. People like different things, and that's ok.

The props add to the sandbox nature of the game. No, they won't get used all the time or in every scenario, but they expand what can be done with a little imagination. I remember growing up playing GTA (on the PS2) and just trying to figure out different ways to play/exploit the game. Muye had a whole video playing what was basically Rocket League with the soccer ball prop. It's cool; not that deep.

...and .39 looks miles better than .38. Not even close.

yeah and it doesn’t use the power it's given at all, why does 0.38 run so good then
    with
8c16t i9 9880h (5ghz boost) 16gb ram (ddr4 2400) rx 5700x (through egpu) or rx 560 built in as if it did care, the game doesn’t use any of this anyway, throttling's not the issue as well, temps sit at 60-70c

16g of ddr4? Might be your problem if you get a really big decrease in fps between updates.

Im to tired to argue though

He made the same points I've read on the Beam socials since the update dropped: poor performance, unsupported mods, and unwanted UI changes. I have an admittedly pretty strong PC, so never had performance issues. Modders have to do work to keep their mods updated, which should be expected for a game in active development. And the UI is mostly problem-free after the hotfixes. And I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary crashing the Ardente, but maybe I'm just dumb and blind.

I think I'm more so, just taken aback by how emotional people are about this game. Like people can't handle that something isn't perfect or the content isn't what they wanted...I think I'm just old, and I'm reading comments from younger people. I've never seen developers engage so much with their community, and I'm just grateful for their work. The CEO in the discord getting cussed out by people. I'm, like, bless their hearts lmao

nope, over 6gb free, i also tested ram consumption with a ancient pc with 12gb ddr3 ram (my brother's old build), (since my main 48gb 3200 ddr4 pc fried itself) it looks about the same, 2gb free on this box so tiny11+beam+spotify uses ~10gb total on both systems. If you meant speed tho (2400MT/s) i'm kinda cooked
sidenote: i use Tiny11 (debloated w11) that might reduce potential ram usage since it doesn't have all the microslop bloat running in background
sidenote 2: i'm slowly earning money for a decent ddr5 build, that'll take like a few months to a year with the pay and stability of temporary jobs, yikes

Weird, my rig runs almost as well as it did in 0.38 whilst looking 10x better. For context I have a 3rd gen i5.

This guy has no clue what he is talking about... He is saying the Jbeam is worse quality than paid mods and his reasoning is just showing 2 images out of context.
One shows a gap in the collision triangle surface between the door glass and the roof. I can kinda imagine someone thinking it's an issue? Because some very bad meshslaps have near unmodifed Jbeam and things don't line up on them and this looks kinda similar? But anyone who actually knows Jbeam can tell that this is not how it works at all, if you try to place nodes exactly based on the mesh and try to cover every possible gap then you end up with extreme spiking, that's what people do to try to cover up their car being a meshslap and then the deformation is bad. Nodes should be placed carefully in relation to each other on the same part so it deforms evenly with straight angles. If nodes happen to not line up between parts then it doesn't matter, it sometimes happens, in case of Ardente with a curved front of the roof it would be hard to avoid that. The only concern is that some tiny object could possibly pass through the gap, but there are frameless windows anyway, so the collision goes away when glass breaks, so practically you will hardly ever see something pass inside with the glass intact.
The second image is some extreme deformation on the interior. I have no clue how they managed to mangle it so badly, I'm guessing JATO powered T-Series at 300 km/h to the side? Whatever they did, on such an extreme deformation, any car will struggle and some will even be way worse than this. This is not really avoidable, car interiors are more high poly and detailed than exteriors, while having lower node density for optimization purposes. So if they think the Ardente interior Jbeam is bad then every single car interior Jbeam is bad too and some even worse.
There is nothing in the Ardente Jbeam that makes it worse than other cars, it's the same quality as Vivace if not better. It's not rushed at all, with how long the update took we had plenty of time to polish it. There were small issues before hotfixes but that happens with every car, and these were mostly related to configs being equipped with incorrect parts, rather than Jbeam issues.

Double-clicking a vehicle in the time trials submenu tries to spawn the vehicle on the main menu and causes a lua error.

Tried the tweak, and arcade mode can't shift up anymore.

The image in the right mirror in many cars, except for: ibishu bx, cherrier ardente, gavril t series, gavril md series, bruckell nine, does not look realistic compared to the image in the left mirror. It has a much larger viewing radius than the left mirror; in some cars (etk 800, etk i, pessima mk1, bastion, etk k, hirochi sunburt, sbr4), the body reflection appears to be rounded or distorted. Why can’t we make the image in the right mirror the same as in the left one?
    --- Post updated ---
Yes, I know that in American cars, the viewing range in the left mirror is smaller than in the right one, but in the game, not all cars are American, and the viewing range in the right mirror isn’t as large as it is in the game.

good catch, I never use arcade mode so i didn't find that. this is the original code:
    upload_2026-8-21_1-13-48.png
which makes no sense to me. Why use an elseif (326) with abs() to check gear is not neutral when the prev elseif (323) already confirmed that.

My best guess is its supposed to stop the car if you're rolling backwards and applying throttle, but the abs(gearIndex) would be = 1 not > 1 in that case unless you have a truck with multiple reverse gears maybe. Regardless, this functionality is now taken care of by a different piece of code so this section from 326-328 is redundant. The only thing stopping it from triggering was some crazy expression that is almost always true unless the transmission input is spinning the opposite way to the engine (aka a bad hillstart).

It also only triggers for gears 2nd and above which is odd. Why brake when in a high gear?

In my opinion the 2nd elseif is probably leftover code that can be removed so you just have this which works nicely in arcade mode
    Fixed:
    upload_2026-8-21_1-14-40.png

@realrp4 and anyone else who likes to do hill starts in trucks just delete lines 326, 327, and 328 (and remember to change the * to a - if you haven't already) and you should be good (yes you will still brake before accelerating if you're rolling backwards)

Using ibishu covet as an example, I’ll show you what it should look like: on the left is what it looks like in the game right now, and on the right is what it should normally look like. (I installed the right‑hand mirror from the right‑hand drive version.) The distance to the car from the rear is the same

UPDATE: my game is fixed (atleast the main flickering problem is). Turns out there was a problem with my graphics drivers.
    --- Post updated ---
about the 200bx, i also have this, but it's definitely a mod-related issue since it works completely fine on safe mode. though i loaded the car with all mods deactivated and it's still red, i cleared the cache and it works.

Hey, I know this may sound random, but has anyone seen the Ardente either roaming around or listed for sale in Career Mode? Because I have never, even with 0 mods activated and with a clear cache.

I'm almost diving into savefile editing to give myself one.

I would say it's deliberate due to Cherrier's lack of USDM presence... if not for the other day where I got to jockey one from Belasco City Garage to the Exhaust Shop.

I hope they eventually add an import feature, so all dealers have only usdm vehicles. Also that you have to have a us plate

With unmodified line 319 and 441, the weird clutch behavior also occurs when holding parking brake(not toggle).

yeah not surprised, why wouldn't you edit line 441?????????? that controls the clutch logic for realistic mode which you were in at the beginning, it also needs the -

you should have both 324 and 441 lines with a - instead of *, and blank lines for 326,327,328 (blank so it doesn't change the line number of 441. or you can delete them it doesn't matter)

The behavior you showed is a result of the original line 441 where tiny oscillations in the sim are causing the avgAV term to jump rapidly between + and - when stopped, causing the if statement to trigger on and off like you see.

also what line are you referring to when you say 319? do you mean 329?
