^ Videos are at 720p, very compressed. Will change at some point.

A small update was just pushed with the fix for the crash.
Restart your Steam so you can force it to re-check for updates.
If it doesn't show, give it 5-10 more minutes and retry.

Don't you still have them in your downloads folder?

I download most of them directly to the /mods folder, so there are only a few in /downloads. I clean up my downloads folder often anyways, because it takes up a ton of room on my SSD...

    No Force feedback?

I hope im posting this in the correct forum, but after the last update 0.4.0.5 i believe. The force feedback seems to be broken. I have been using my G27, and have been having a blast now that it works well. After the update that just came out today i get no feedback at all. Nothing. i have tried re doing all the controls related to force feedback but nothing seems to be working. Is this a bug? or am i doing something wrong?

Thanks for the response... I was just going to post about this after wondering why after it updated, it broke.

it makes it a pain to play with no FFB what-so-ever because wheels like the G27 have quite the spring back to center when it's [force feedback] not active. If this needs to be done again, maybe do it so that it invokes the FFB but doesn't use it? Just enough to make the G27 "let go" of the wheel.

Mine lets go completely. I think in my profiler i have it set to allow the game to change settings. Not sure if that is a factor or not.

Speaking of G27's I have a issue with mine that seems to only happen in this game, might be some sort of bug maybe?

Since the 0.4.0 update I think, very occasionally, my wheel becomes uncalibrated and the centre point is off by about 20 degrees. Anyone else experience this with their G27?

Re: 0.4.0.x Current bugs and help thread

I'm enjoying the new Xbox input bindings, but I can't seem to find the button controlling the clutch in-game. It used to be bound to the left bumper, but now that's the handbrake. Now I keep on toggling the handbrake whenever I want to change gear or stop. :p I checked the control bindings, but I couldn't find anything listed as controlling the clutch. The control key still works on the keyboard to engage the clutch, but it's not exactly ideal for me to switch to using my keyboard in the middle of driving, as I much prefer using the controller for BeamNG. Did I just miss something? Is there just a different key used to control the clutch on the Xbox controller? Thanks.

I would also like to know.. I'm not liking the no-clutch deal for my controller.

After crashing cars and screwing over the tracking, yeah. ;) other than that, not really.

I don't set each individual game up as I find the profiler doesn't set the rotation limit properly. I use the 2 middle red buttons above the gearstick and one of the 4 buttons above the D-Pad to set the rotation limit for the session.

the only setting that does the rotation limit is the global rotation limit in the profiler, and that affects ALL games.

This bugs the crap out of me. I remember a while back asking if they could adjust the wheels rotation to suit the car and they said when FFB is added they would make it so if you were driving a car with 540 deg (like the rally covet or pigeon) the wheel will automatically adjust the end stop so you can't turn past full lock. This still hasn't happened and I am always hopping in and out of the profiler to change the settings.

I'm having 2 problems, one is the Gavril H15 Vanster - seems to be broken like an unsupported russian mod. I've redownloaded the vehicle through Steam and dleted my cache, the car still is corrupt.

The other problem is that my Xbox 360 controller isn't detected when i'm connecting it after BeamNG started. It's wireless so that might be an issue? I don't know.

    1. Check your Documents folder. If you have a folder in there that's got the same name as the Gavril H15 Vanster file, move it somewhere else. I had the same with the Pigeon when I tried a modded engine (which sucked)

nb: They have brought out a mod manager which I'm looking to switch over to, the way I do it is rather messy and inefficient. My biggest gripe is the ability to get the mods moved to the same place as the game, instead of the documents folder. I only have a 64gb boot drive!!

    2. Does it work in other games? I'm interested in this one because I use the XBCD Driver to split the axis on the triggers; and I'm having problems getting the controller to play nice; be it because the wheel is attached or not I don't know; but I'm not crawling behind my PC to unplug it. forget that.

    1. Will try when at home.

    2. I might wanna add that it only doesn't work after BeamNG startup, if i turn it on before starting BeamNG it works like a charm. BeamNG shows the battery icon thou, so i guess it detects a controller, it just can't fill it with life.

This might be a bug, but in the new 4.0.5, it seems the clutch was removed?

If you are talking about the XBox bindings, then yes, the left trigger, which was clutch, has been replaced with temporary parking brake (as opposed to right trigger, which is permanent parking brake).

If it's other issue, please let me know which hardware you are using, so I can try to reproduce. Thanks!

If you open the Controls menu, and click the "refresh" icon (on the right of 'controls' title text), does it work correctly then?
If not, try clicking 'reset' button on the bottom of bindings list, and see if that fixes it.
