Maybe it's not a Bug, but East Coast and JRI needs more GPU, CPU and other rubbish, so i can't play those maps without laggs till i have a new and better computer, which will take months to save up money to buy one!
small issue, but if you have a button on a gamepad bound to bring up the vehicle selector menu, you can bring up the selector in the main menu.
without a radiator the whole coolant part is effectively disabled. That's why the temperature of the coolant doesn't change. It's simple staying where ever it was for optimization reasons. Obviously the rest of the thermals still work and you'll quickly overheat your engine.
The update had some great features in it and I like the minimap and the thermal feature but the loading times are horrible, granted I'm not on an SSD, but before it took like 15 sec max to load a map now it can take upwards of 30 seconds to load, scenarios take too long as well, the game overall is a bit more unoptimized and frames drop more often, Hope these get fixed in a small update
Invisible walls can be found in this place too: In fact, there are invisible walls around these rubbish piles everywhere.
Gargabe/Trash in ECA has off collisions | Fixed for next update --- Post updated --- Loading times are exaggerated even if you clear the cache (deleting the 'BeamNG.Drive' folder in Documents)? About FPS issues, only on ECA? If yes, we are working on that
1. menu flickers then disappears when you try to open it?... 2. power lines don't show up on low or lowest quality.
1. First post 2. Some lods level are missing, but yet, lowest quality. No random roamers here. It's on your end. Make sure you haven't saved over the original ECA. Go to Documents/BeamNG.Drive/levels and delete 'east_coast_usa' folder if you have (if you have it means you saved over the original eca)
Ok so I've played around for a good while with the update. ECA looks awesome, and the thermal sim is cool. A bit underwhelming I think, mostly because so far it's only thermals, and I feel like I actively have to try to overheat my engine, and break parts of it. So I guess I'm trying to say it doesn't impact me enough in how I normally play the game to make me notice it. I saw the engine damage parameters, such as head gasket blown, piston rods damaged, etc, and thought that engines would finally become more fragile, though it really doesn't seem to be the case since they are only damaged by heat. It would have been cool if it also took damage from impacts, like and impact of 10 Gs did "x" damage to those parts, thereby making engines something that would have to be protected in events like demo derbies. So far the only effect the new engine sim has had on my demo derbies has been cosmetic smoke. or maybe you should be a bit more aggressive in the radiator damage. I should be able to smash into someone in a demo derby, and totally destroy their radiator, leading to a quick overheat and death, but so far I have yet to kill someone in a demo derby with the new thermal sim.
Hey Nadeox, why didn't the 600m variant of the Pigeon get thermals? Or, if it did, the thermal debug app disappears when I spawn it, which is consistent with my modded cars that don't have thermal sims. The rest of the Pigeons work fine in this regard though.
