    Tried beamng safe mode and went back to regular and don't have any mods showing up. They are all still in the mods folder


    Edit: NVM fixed it.

    Safe mode deactivates all mods. They are still there but not in Safe Mode.

    OK so this "clear cache" thing in the launcher doesn't do what you think it should. You know, clear the cache right? Yeah no, instead, it wipes out your entire BeamNG documents folder including levels, vehicles and any other modified folder you had in there. You guys need a disclaimer on that.

    Yes, I saw the backups but still, not cool.

    Edit: bout of anger passed; time to move on and just..move on

    SO that's why my map lost so much progress too! Yes, I am making a map and decided to keep it a secret but now I need to say it. I really hope they put a disclaimer on it or fix it so it actually just clears the cache. >:/

    A suggestion is to have the launcher be optional or press play and have a tick box that says 'don't ask me again' or something

    I was wondering earlier this morning why my mods were gone, I had them backed up in another folder luckily but if I hadn't backed them up I would've had to redownload all 150 or so of my mods, which wouldn't be fun.

    This annoys me as well. Since I rarely ever click anything other than 'play the game' I wish it could be disabled or have a box that says 'don't ask me again'.

    We show an alert informing "Clear cache" will move all the files to another folder.



    Can you check if you files are in any place of the backup folder?

    No because I was a fool and was modding out of the main game directory (content/levels/mymap) to avoid texture bugs. Anything in there was destroyed.

    No worries It is all there in a backup folder ;) Have tested this my self, and i could just move them all back from the backup folder, and over to my mods levels/cars folder.

    The 'Clear Cache' button touches only the Documents/BeamNG.Drive folder.
    And in any case, as Luis said, it moves things, we never delete them to avoid you issues. Please triple check the 'backup' folder that should have appeared in Documents/BeamNG.Drive when you clicked that button.

    That's on your end, m8. Start the game in safe mode, if that doesn't work you'll need to reinstall. Everything works on my end.

    Well, they don't.

    They're too small for the delay to be as noticeable as, say, with some larger modded vehicles, but they do come out somewhat slower than before. Check the attached screenshot: paused the game as the T-65 was spawning, and it's still slightly below the ground level. It takes about 2-3 seconds for the animation to complete, while it used to be pretty much instant as of 5.5.0.

    Passenger cars, on the other hand, are seemingly dropped slightly from above and land on the ground just like they used to.

    BTW, is there any way to control the spawning behaviour of modded vehicles?

    When I spawn in the T series, it seems to come out of the ground too. The truck is usable from start, try steering the wheel left and right to get it out of the ground quicker

    The ETK 856 TTSport+ (M) has a reverse gear that can go like 45MPH backwards. It's really hard to reverse slowly cause the car stalls unless you're already doing 10mph. My game is completely unmodded.

    Car stalling? Isn't that more features mod by @StinchinStein ? Or am I extremely outdated and no knowledge of car stalling?

    The ai for me does not seem to chase or flee. It only makes the car put on its parking brake. Every other option works except those two.

    I think it is only on my end :p

    Not all maps have routes for the AI to drive. What maps are you trying on?
