I find it curious that on low range I can bounce rev limiter with automatic gearbox and that if I lock wheels when braking, engine rpm does not come up, not sure if this is intended to be so.
It's an attachment for the front right fender. Easy to miss. And now for a bug report of my own In all the police chace scenarios, if you end up driving back through the original spawn area, it'll show the "Stop the criminal!" message again. Should be a one time thing.
Well the game won't shift for you if there's still wheel spin, that's why you see it hit the limiter for a brief period of time. In addition to that, there is also a hard time lockout for sequential shifts, so the gearbox won't do many shifts in the a short time. And if lock you the wheels, of course the engine RPM will drop? Not sure what you see wrong there?
After doing a scenario and returning to free roam, all the UI apps are gone and pressing the reset to default button does nothing, you have to manually put them all back
Hirochi Sunburst race models have had the wrong thumbnail since you changed the vehicle part configs a few patches back (no black/carbon hood, wrong rear spoiler, no front lip on image).
But there is no wheelspin on 2nd and 3rd (hardly even at 1st and at rev limiter certainly none), it's 2.5l I4 version, engine revs up and torque converter is not speeded up, so it takes time for torque converter to catch up and when it catches up shift happens. In video I did lock wheels briefly, then at speed gearbox has 4th gear, engine on idle and wheels rotating, RPM is not increasing and vehicle coasts to stop, I would think that wheels locked that might happen, box would shift to 1st while wheels are locked, but as that was not the case in video, rotating wheels would spin driveshaft, which would spin the box, gear would engage and box would spin torque converter, which would spin engine or maybe I don't understand something correctly here, but I think that is what happened with my automatic geared car on icy road. If engine is off, then on some automatic boxes gear will not engage as there is no oil pressure, but on some models there is 2nd oil pump and rotating driveshaft creates oil pressure which makes it possible to tow such automatic and get it started. If engine is running, there is oil pressure and I would think engine rpm should rise after initial lockup of wheels. If coasting down a hill and speed increases, engine rpm increases, but if you lock wheels engine remains at idle until you are at bottom of hill or accelerate, something about negative torques that don't play quite right I guess. If vehicle's speed is such that you would have 5000rpm when driving that speed, but rpm would remain idle because briefly locking wheels earlier, that would create quite large slip to torque converter, should engine really remain idle as because of viscosity it should create quite bit of torque to engine. Update: With D15 it seems to be working like excepted and stupid youtube messes beginning of video, but you can lock wheels and engine rpm rises as car rolls after releasing brake:
When using an Xbox 360 controller sometimes I cannot shift down, it's like the game doesn't recognize that I'm pressing "X" on the controller. I never got this bug until 0.9 came out.
shift+c is used for toggling freecam on/off. I guess F8 used to do the same or similar thing but it wasn't the correct way. F7 is for teleporting your car to the cameras location https://www.beamng.com/resources/demolition-derby-cars-pack.2023/ I haven't tested the mod mysef yet but according to the description this mod by @Ytrewq has already done that.
Trouble is, that we would need that on The Fair Grounds-mod, but I'm not sure we could just take that part off from this mod and put into The Fair Grounds. That's why it would be the best, if devs would include those safe fuel tanks as a addon part to the cars in the stock game.
