I know this sounds pushy, but I really hope this isn't abandoned or anything lol, it's fine if progress is slow due to outside things

I tried the Crashhard, and I think he's talking about that since it literally dropped me to maybe 25 fps (I have a decent pc)

While Benz Velo is yet to be finished, I think he meant the crashard classic. I think with a little bit of jbeam tweaking, it could be improved a lot. I think it has a similar problem as Auriga - everything feels like jello, the body lacks firmness.

BTW, good news. I just finished tweaking the cursed Skoda van, it has now pedals (forgot them in the last update, since I renamed some of the nodes that served as a basis for the props), fixed the engine starter, also played with the engine a bit and fixed a weird glitch with the interior materials (not sure how I missed that in the last release, but I accidentally made everything colorable, which wasn't supposed to happen - I guess the game used to ignore the instanceDiffuse when the palette map was missing from a layer, but now it takes it into account, so I had to delete a few lines, easy fix).

I will update the Skoda thread sometime soon so I can finally finish Benz Velo.

I'm also thinking about releasing my other mods - Saab 96 and maybe after a bit of tweaking also the Model T.

Seeing that Model T would be awesome, would be interesting to see how the controls work!

Actually, if you have a wheel w/ pedals and shifter, the controls on your end are the same. What's reflected in the game mimicks how Model T was operated though, gas on the steering wheel, parking brake + pedals combine as clutch and gear. I guess that's best I could do in that circumstance. Also, most people probably have just a keyboard to drive :(

People complained that my Skoda van is too slow lmao. Do you think anyone would play with it if it was capable of only doing 20 km/h? I made the faster engine and multi gear transmissions optional, it's not like you must use it ^_^

People that complain a Czechoslovakian van that was never made for speed is "too slow" probably don't get the point of it, but that's just me. I love slow cars lol

Then it's fine, I just wanted to make sure it's realistic. And I really like your Skoda van btw. Pretty realistic mod

really interested in the benz and any other early vehicles you want to try. my favorite activity is pioneer driving. the crash hard classic is nice but limited. the skinny tires lend themselves to the offroad driving more than one would think. the gpv is another recent early year. it is ment for offroading for a war and it shows.

im curious how the benz belt drive will respond to dynamic tourqe loads of bad roads and trails with lots of hills
