Some updates to the chassis, there were a few adjustments I did to the shape of the chassis but they may be subject to change to fit with the other parts that I'll be modeling, like the engine and transmission

 

Since you're planning on making a RWD conversion, would 4WD be a possibility as well?

 

It might be a possibility for an off-road config

Work on the vehicle was postponed cause I got burned out so I took a break. Now that I'm back working on it again, I'd say the model is 70% done, what's left to do for the base is the Engine, Transmission, then the Interior plus some QA check with revisions.

The engine/Transmission is the trickiest part to design especially when it's a steampunk theme lmao so it'll take a while so bear with me.

 

Is thé vehicle soviet , or American ? Because a RWD , rear-engined , V8 car was done by Tatra

Some progress m8s

I've added more parts to the engine, modeled and enhanced the transmission, and there's some topology tidying up to do. I might add more teeny weeny parts but so far I'm happy how it looks.

What's left to do is to do the engine bay parts, interior, and end it off with a self QA with everything before unwrapping and texturing,
I'm planning to texture the car first before I'll work on the Jbeam,



Here's a showcase so far on how it's going.



I'll also do an in depth comparison with the 2017's propeller and the latest once the base model is fully finished.

 

I know this is a tiny, borderline insignificant detail, but I must know, how do you access the spare wheel? This will bug me as I cant see any way to reach it as it is closed off on all sides, better instruct owners to be extra vigilant for rocks I guess?

 

Thought it is subject to change for the location of the spare wheel, it's a sliding grill. You'll have to open it upwards to access the spare wheel.

 

My grandpa's military police Jeep was stolen out of Manila in 1944, he apparently got into a lot of trouble and was still mad about it until the day he died last year lol
