Visibility was not a priority in 50's cars; it probably wouldn't even have a right mirror if it weren't a fancy luxobarge ;)

Yeah, it'll be practically like the Covet's whose like: "Just get rid of the passenger side mirror and we're good!"

Spirited driving, bouncing around on hills, and sliding the rear end into things can cause the leaf springs to freak out, jack the rear end up, break the driveshaft, and set fire to the car.

Yes but it actually somewhat reflecting what is behind you is not a "luxury feature"...

What about a straight 8 option as a rare model? I remember seeing a Saabkyle video of a Pontiac about the same age as the Burnside with a straight 8. They run very quietly and are very smooth engines.

    EDIT: Video:

Hey... Are those the CONELRAD CD marks on the radio?... Dang, this level of detail is amazing! Usually on most car radios from 1953-1963.

I would have loved to see a '57 burnside, the '57 bel air is one of my all time favorite cars. Is there any reason why burnside was only produced 1953-1954?

It's most likely the First Generation Special, and I'll bet you $25 CAD if the Second Generation Special was made from 1955-1957.
