Unzip the vehicle file. In the folder you just unzipped grab the named vehicle folder inside of the "vehicles" folder. Car name(zipped)>vehicles>car name(grab this folder) Put that folder directly in steamapps/common/BeamNG/content/vehicles Start game and enjoy your new car without texture problems. Also don't forget to clear your cache. I tried all the other fixes and nothing worked, I tried this last night and all my texture problems are fixed.
Will people stop telling others how *NOT* to do it. It goes in C:\Users\<username>\Documents\BeamNG\mods\vehicles Under no circumstances should you be placing them in the content folder. Its actually pretty simple. Open the zip for any given mod. If you see a folder called vehicles, close the zip, place the entire zip into Documents\BeamNG\mods. If you see a folder with vehicles name (for instance, prelude_SN or 68nova), then remove that folder from the zip and put it in Documents\BeamNG\mods\vehicles, if the vehicles folder inside mods doesnt exist then simply create it. The same also applies to levels, levels that have the "levels" folder inside the zip just go straight into the mods folder, else you can create a levels folder and put them in there. Nothing should go in content anymore except stock content, other stuff being in content serves no purpose other than screwing with the steam updating system. Also always remember to delete these 3 folders (which are cache folders) Please note I have relocated my BeamNG cache/mods folder, this is possible from startup.ini which does actually reside in steamapps/common/BeamNG, this is because I have an SSD so have moved my main documents folder to the D drive, BeamNG didnt like this so I had to overwrite where it believes the BeamNG folder lives, by default it should still be C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\BeamNG
Well considering how when I did it *YOUR WAY* I ended up with broken textures. The only way I have gotten it to work with the textures intact was *MY WAY*. So to me you are going through a lot of effort to show people a way to do it that leads to broken textures. And yes before you ask, I cleaned out my cache and any trace of the mod before I tried installing it other ways.
You only get broken textures if you dont unzip it and place it in a vehicles folder. Its the devs way, not my way. Only exception to the usual mod installation routine is the prelude.
Cant get the car to work with the newest version of beamng. i put the zip file in my vehicles folder but when i go to select a vehicle it isn't there.
Sorry guys I won't be updating this mod any time soon, as I'm busy working on finishing my Prelude right now. I also have some new mods to work on as well. If it doesn't works for you, well, don't waste time on this one. I'll make sure to post an update if someday I decide to pick it up.
Works fine for me. I extracted the .zip and put the "68nova" folder under: Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods\vehicles .
you do realize if you downloaded it before it became unsupported it still works right?... :3 you also need to merge the zip folder called "vehicles" into the vehicles folder in the content of the game, and NOT the mods folder
It works if you know HOW and WHERE to install a mod (like SoHigh00 above). Unsupported just means that I won't bother replying questions like "why it doesn't work on the current version?" or updating it anytime soon.
When I download it it does not work. Shouldn't there be a Install button somewhere like on other mods? --- Post updated --- Oh wait I take that back
lol the first reply in two years @Fen I request you to revive it, do whatever you want, it should perform real, deform real. that's it
