This update is simply to get the fury working in game again. there are no major changes as of yet. I know that I haven't been active very often. i often post in spurts and make big changes all at once. The Fury project is at the point where it has 2 main paths to follow if I want it to continue to improve. The first being a complete suspension overhaul and rework to meet modern BeamNG vehicle standards. The main issue with this is that beam has gotten a lot more complex since i started this project in 2014, and to be completely honest, starting from scratch at this point is a good bit over my head. I have learned a lot since starting this project, and I am glad that I did, but I'm only one person, and would greatly appreciate some help going down this route. I would love to see the fury meet this level of expectations. The second route that i could go is to keep the textures and node structures from the current Fury project, improve it where necessary, and take a lot of the jbeam structure from the current barstow. the major downside to this is that this isn't a barstow, and i don't want to see this driving like a barstow. I could very likely accomplish this, but I don't think myself, or the community would be excited for this route. For this reason, I am torn on the direction to go with the project. I would like to see this be it's own vehicle and stay that way, but updates haven't been nice to it, and my lack of knowledge is really limiting a suspension upgrade that it needs. I am open to suggestions, but as of now, the fury, though not glorious or complete, still runs, drives, and floats around in the current version.
You could consider using the Coronet mod as a base for the rebuild, or at least as a donor for parts and beams. https://www.beamng.com/threads/update-for-the-68-71-dodge-coronet-v1-2.74832/page-9#post-1404439
So, my first car was a 1969 Plymouth Fury and it had terrible suspension, just like the car in the game. I mean, my brother was remarking how authentic it drove in the game, so I think you are good. Maybe the suspension was just shot, but it definitely had an undulating experience. I love this mod so much!
To improve this mod i would suggest using some parts from the Coronet mod like the steering wheel, hubcaps and tires Despite the fact that the 1969 Plymouth Fury III doesn't have the same steering wheel as the Coronet Mod here's the interior of the 1969 dodge phoenix (rebadge plymouth fury III sold in Australia) and that type of steering wheel is the one of the Coronet Mod 1969 Dodge Phoenix (Aus)-03.jpg (1365×1365) (oldcarbrochures.org)
I would love to see the 4-door version of this car in the next update and taxi, police and civil variations of it or perhaps drag racing create like classic sedans
