Oh and, one thing I noticed. The hi-beams are the lights closer to the grille and the normal headlights are farther, seems like youve gotten them mixed up

hey, the highbeam and lowbeam are in the good place, what makes you say that ?

HA ! Understood the issue for you !
what you see in image 1 of the teaser are police highbeams, captured when they are both ON in the lightning sequence !

    Maybe this is better

When the highbeams are on, all four headlights should be on

    WOW, freaking awesome !

    Perfect !

I agree, but again those are police highbeams that work accordingly to the roof lightramp.
they alternate between left, right, and both highbeams. It was captured at the third state.
Look at other screenshots, you'll see only one ON.

    Data collected !
i see that your car as the same interior trim than mine which is a Delta 88 royale. I only did the Brougham trim for both cars, but i'll need to do this one, that could be fine for detective cars, station wagon that could be more accurate if with the more simple (but still nice) trim.

I'll ask for sure, more likely when i'll work on it for V2.0 and of course you'll be in the beta test group to try it and approve or reject :p !
For the V1.0 release the early work won't be available.
    Many thanks !

And for Raticon, here is a towing test for headgaskets : ready, headgasket fail, and blown engine :D !
In fact i cheated for the photos, ran with a very innefiscient radiator, but i'm very interested by having an engine that fail miserably if used just a bit too strong.
Here in France a lots of taxi bought those Diesel that were the fastest Diesel at the moment, way more fast acceleration than a peugeot 604 TD or Mercedes 300 TD.
So i've been told that they were racing against each other for fun, the Olds always won but after 50 kms at 100 mph, the gasket blowned !

I didn't found the proper documentation for the underhood that i know is more simple than this one, so i used some kind of Chevy caprice possible tuning thing instead.
Things i'll maybe gonna change some day, it's not that important, those cars are ment to be used for cruising or car chasing.
Also before release i'll do the hood and trunk hinges. Got the documentation for those :p

This looks already fantastic, I like the car and I like the ideas that you got in store for it! After the work you and AR162b did for his latest H-series mod I know this will be a quality project  Keep up the good work and I sure enjoy following the development as it goes

The models look better than the crappy Coupe Deville mod. Speaking of Cadillacs, are you planning on adding some in the future?

Awwh :(... Man those pictures do truly tell the story of the demise of my own engine, except i wasn't hauling a big rock, and my car is blue... Nice of you to take the time to blow a gasket for us! If you feel like some fun you could always make a diesel version with the normal radiator and then perhaps make a "beater" variant with an inferior radiator that will boil the engine very quickly .

If you ever plan on making a '79 i'd be delighted to help with any pictures, data, etc i may have access to.

About your french Taxis, here in Sweden the main people that bought the Olds Diesel were either owners of transport companies, logging companies or similar businesses as they often wanted a nice, big american car to show off and also happened to have access to large machines that consumed alot of diesel so they could fill up their Oldsmobile while they filled up their big rigs and tractors with cheap, almost tax-free diesel ;). A bit sneaky and certainly not always legal but no-one really bothered. So i was told by the original owner who got the car new back in 1979.

Wow, someone still has one of these with the stock 350 diesel?! I thought all of those were dead long ago, I know most of the trucks that had them originally have ended up with a normal Olds 350.

You know, my dad used to own a "white"(now maroon/red) 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 4 door sedan that he used as a taxi back in the late 70's.But as most people used to do with their cars in those times he would run it into the ground until it basically fell apart (especially since it was a taxi)...so the most updated version of the car I have is this. 163388933_fb509392ee_z.jpg (in the mid 80s my dad sold it to some guy who removed all the taxi equipment and repainted it maroon/red leaving the white top...the only way we found out that is was my dad's car was that the VIN number matched the one he used to have when he first bought it.) Glad to see someone making a mod that reflects the prime years of American manufactured cars with a popular car maker of the time :)!

Peterbilt, they are a lot of still working olds Diesel in France, but also they are difficult to maintain because of the real pain to find parts.
So people buy them cheap, drive a bit with them untill they have problems, that occurs pretty fast because they have to be maintained often (quick oil changes with filters) and then sell it as wrecks. But also we see more often cars that were just engine restored those days. There is a little interest with those cars, here, so it's possible to find a good one.
In the states, i know that the greater defender of those engine have themselves given up to maintain further their engine, too much expense for an engine that can break anyway.
Also there is here a specialist of those engine that knows how to repair them and make them reliable, and i think i'll end up giving him the car for repair and make it new.
He personnaly has a Custom cruiser with 700 000 kilometers on it.

Also, speaking about gearboxes, in 1979 those cars had the th350 but in 1980 it was the crappy TH200 on those Diesel boats, TH350 as an option i guess ,and the cars had geaboxes issues added to engine ones, yeaaah !
