Cutlass looks similar but all the parts are totally different, so basically it would be the same work as doing a caprice based uppon my mod. And even more than that because it's a different size/weight car so lots of jbeam work again. I will concentrate on the fullsize coupe and station wagon, then i'll see what i'll do next.

Thank you SergentFido for adding my video to the front page. And I just want to say, if reducing the numbers of nodes and beams will make the the car deform badly, making parts intersect into each other, or make it less solid. Do NOT reduce them. It lags on my computer to, it happens In a crash or a jump, and I am sure it is when all the parts on the cars collide with each other, like the fenders with the chassis, the engine with the firewall, the hood with the fenders, inner fenders, front fascia and front window, and I`m sure there are many more.... That is a lot of collisions to calculate at ones, and it is ALL needed to make the car deform the way it does. try to disable collisions in the settings and see how it drives and if the fps increases. Update, I tried to disable all collisions, i get 60 fps no matter what I do now, so if you only can have one of these cars driving around and still have 20 fps, maybe try this
Hey Crash Hard01, this night i was looking at the Grand marshal and this car only 690 nodes and 3700 beams so there is still hope for nice deformation. i mean i need to only reduce from 920 to 840. But the Gm has no separate frame from body it seems, so it's the explanation why they are so few nodes.
The rusty frame instabalises very easily, just a small overlap crash on a tree at 45mph can crash the physics
that's the point of it that the rusty body is weakened i mean just look at it closely and you will see wholes all over the body wich is done with great detail and therefor the car is weaker
I have never instability and crashes of the game, nor people that have tested the car. Weird. Indeed the car is weaker and even the frame disappear into small bits of dust.
I will do the Continental kit, it's planned (i have the same photos ) For coupes and Station Wagon, you can see WIP in the first page of the thread. Ideas are nice and welcome, but it's better to speak about things that aren't already mentionned 10 times in the thread, it's not that long to check.
not trying to be a pain in the arse, but i hear people have posted skins on this forum for your mod?....
Why would you be a pain in the arse by questionning ? I just kindly told you the coupe and station wagon are shown in the first page, so that you could check what was already answered. But i fully understand 40 pages could be long to check. i maybe will do a suggestion topic for the Olds, maybe. Somebody posted a skins preview in the latest pages indeed, the mod is skinnable so people can have fun with it. It's the only thing that is allowed to mod, all the parts stuff is only for suggestion, the building team for the mod is complete
I love playing with all the different variants. I did notice something though. The skins with the solid red taillights (the 98 and some of the Delta 88) have separate turn signals from the brake lights. Usually when the light is all red without amber turn signals, the whole light flashes for a turn signal (see video below). I'm not sure if it's worth fixing or how hard it'd be to fix, but I just wanted to point that out in case you can fix it easily. It's still an amazing vehicle regardless! I know the car in the video is a Cutlass, but almost all American cars with no rear amber turn signals flash like this (also ironic that this car has a Euro plate, but no amber lamps).
Yep, i'm aware of this, thanks, but my version was released like that because the red lights were added lately, upon the amber ones. Before all was amber, as i was wrongly informed that in the US the orange lights were also used. And in fact it was since 1984 only.
Alright, cool. It's kind of amusing that I've only seen the Delta 88 with amber lights in real life (I rarely see '80s models with the solid red lights) and I live in the states!
Тhank you so much for the work done! a lot of people here really appreciate all the work that you have done Спасибо огромное !
Yep and a third time won't change anything. It's been anwered several times. The mod is splitted in two parts because of copyright issues regarding the brand oldsmobile. This is the only way. Also, this two files just work the same way official cars works with mods of official cars, it's the exact same. If it doesn't work for you then something is wrong: bad download, wrong location folder, bad beamNG install or bad beamNG version, but it's definitly not the mod issue. Rate this like you'd like, but reviews are for people that have installed it properly (99% of people), then give their opinion about it. It's not bug reports or bad install. You can find many mods where people are complaining about an installation, and it's always the same, they do mistakes but it's the modder fault, the install is too complicated, and so on. Two files in the same mod folder is not that complicated. So maybe you have a mod making a mess in the game, i really don't know what the issue but it's not the way the mod is made. Definitly. --- Post updated --- Also i'm not "trying" to make 2 mods work together. If you'd know what you're talking about, you will be aware that having one mod splitted in two parts but with the exact same folders into its structures is just equal to have just one zip file, it works the same way in game !
It's funny how easy it is to install this mod yet so many people have issue installing it. All you do is click the download button, then go to the first post and download the add-on pack and place the zip in the mods folder... how is it that hard...
