I'm sure that'll be fun. You could fit pretty much any engine in it so long as you're willing to cut the engine bay a little bit. Hell, maybe somebody could fit two engines. Like two Hopper I4s side-by-side connected to one transmission.
It'd be interesting if somebody tried to make a MB G-Class V12-inspired engine for this car... That'd could make the SUV more beastly than with the standard V8s included in the mod. (Probably wouldn't happen, but still a interesting thought)
Attach two of the ETK I6 engines at the crank, maybe add a few superchargers or turbochargers. That would be interesting to see.
It'd definitely beat what a Roamer would do with such a engine (as if it was a sleeper, though any engine swap with this vehicle would likely make it a sleeper in some way).
The Roamer would arguably fit the engine much better. It has a longer engine bay and a body that could be easily modified to fit big engines by cutting away parts of the fascia and moving the firewall back a little bit. --- Post updated --- Though thinking about it, the B1 has a pretty big rear end... Maybe you could shove a V10 in the back, swap in suspension from the SBR4, and make yourself the best sleeper ever.
Another possible engine swap is with the V12TT in the ETK S-Series. Knowing that it would one of the most higher trims of the S-Series, it could also work as a monster sleeper. (Maybe with some adjustments, it could work as a Beam-replication of the G63 AMG V12.)
That'd require permission from the mod maker though, and as far as I know that engine isn't fully up-to-date with the current systems used in BeamNG
I do agree with the first section. But it seems as if he's gonna update his S-Series mod soon or later (already seen in Development/Community Screenshots).
I mean... since we are on the subject of weird engine swaps... there is a guy on the interwebs that swapped a Cummins 4BT into a 2 door H1. It seems to do alright, but then again, it makes about the same amount of Torque as the original non turbo V8 (actually about 10lb-ft more), so naturally, it would.
Tell you what, I can't wait for that. Maybe somebody will make a DTM variant of it. But more on-topic, I wonder how hard it would be to frame/suspension swap the B1 with something a bit more sporty to really give it the edge on the track. --- Post updated --- 2-door? Tell me more about this shortening.
Honestly... even with me making it I don't know how hard that would be... my bet would be that rather than swapping parts here, there, and everywhere that just doing proper suspension tuning (lowering it, stiffer springs, more damping, stiffer sway bars) you could probably turn it into a pretty formidable (for a 6,000lbs monster) track weapon. The BIGGEST factor here would be getting some proper tires on it with much less sidewall flex. You would lose a lot of off road potential, but you would pick up a ton of handling potential... Swapping the body onto something else though? I mean while not impossible... it would be a pain to do. Well, this is the Hummer I was talking about. Video is kinda ehhh... but its whatever... just a normal 2 door truck. However, since you brought it up... I did find this on the internet a while ago...
image you linked doesn't work, but I do see what you mean about that Hummer. I'm an idiot and forgot that they were made in a ute body too lol
I actually tried to do that with the Burnside. I gave up after I couldn't separate the engine's model from the CRD.
I'll have to give it a try at some point. Though now I think about it, it might be better to put it in something with a stronger frame. I'll definitely keep the Burnside at the back of my mind though.
pretty sure a 92hp diesel can pull a 2 ton hummer along, since I have seen full size cargo trucks with small, weak inline 4 engines in them, 1 of them I know can reach 57 mph at most though,
