Myth said before its not really going to have an interior at all really. It would just be too much work to jbeam and would be really messy in a crash without the jbeam.
Just a quick question. Will there be another little update download link? Just adding a few missing parts before release? Such as the Storage doors and stuff on top? Or do you plan on just doing a full release later and let us play with the first little download? Either way it's fine, I LOVE this mod, it's so fun just to play with and see what you can do with it. Keep up the great work!
I do plan to update it as a beta every now and then, in fact, I updated it right now(underneath this post) Now with a 100% more crashyness Also, I forgot to attach 2 of the storage hatches on the right properly but don't have time to re-upload, sorry :/ (Not very noticable though, they just vibrate a little more when you go over bumps) Link: (Updated link)
This really does look like awesome RV. The modeling is awesome it's retro just so great. Can't wait until I get to drive this thing off some jumps.
The detachable 'main' panels really are large pieces, and large panels just like to clip and get stuck inside the vehicle. You need look not much further than the Vanster. Do you think it would be a notion to divide them up and hide the seams under the trim pieces? So you know how there's a strip of plastic level with the floor on the side panels? cut the entire side along it's length under that large strip and make them seperable pieces. The seam will be hidden by trim for the most part, make clipping easier to deal with
I already replied to that matey... So no, not gonna do that. It's already n/b heavy enough as it is, and it needs WAY more seperate n/b pieces even at this stage. I'm pretty satisfied with how "much" / "little" it clips at the moment so I don't see why I would redo the body n/b from scratch. Also, it would be useless to devided it up into multiple pieces height-wise., it would only MAYBE help if I did it length-wise. Also, making it into seperate panels would just cause the collision detection with other vehicles to be much worse(since there would be a small strip with no col-tris where the 2 panels meet, just like on cars between fender and door). Like I said, the collision won't improve by deviding it up into different pieces. It'll just cause those different pieces to clip seperately from eachother, rather than as 1 big panel. The reason it clips isn't that the pieces are large, it's because they don't have any depth(they're just flat panels), and because I needed to space the nodes so far apart that the game wouldn't lag like mad.
ah, sorry. Fair enough . That said, the doors and things coming open/off is rather fun. Hope to see 'russian mod' levels of trim, ladders and air con that can detach from this thing XD
maybe someone can help me. i put it in my mods folder, but when i spawn it, it comes up as a big yellow "no texture". thoughts anyone?
So I got bored today and whipped up that 1,000,000 horsepower RV in a minute or two. Im not gonna post it, ever because I don't want to piss off Mythbuster but it is really fun to screw around with. The only issue I found is that the axle tramp is rampant!
I really think a (basic) interior would tie it together. at the very least do you think you could add some walls and a carpet texture in back to make it look more "full"? Just a suggestion, overall I like the concept and the way the engine looks.
It is the replica of the Breaking Bad RV. In the show, it has nothing inside and is completely stripped except for some shelves along both sides and the front seats.
It goes into the vehicles folder in the BeamNG folder, but you have to make one. After doing so, you take the .zip file and click 'extract here' and leave the .zip file and the extracted file in the Vehicles folder.
