you can lower the friction, increase the torque values for the intakes, or decrease the torque loss from the exhaust
You can't just copy the values manually because BeamNG accounts for intake gains, exhaust losses, static and dynamic friction, inertia, etc. You need to manually finetune everything until it's correct
Hey Jorge, I can see the XLD's engine in the parts selector but the config is missing (unless I've screwed something up...but I have cleared the cache). You're doing some amazing work on this mod, as always, though. First the new Defender and now the 205...somehow it seems you're managing to read my "mental wishlist" for cars to bring to BeamNG!
The simple speedo is way off it get worse over 100km/h and the rim and tire aren't alligned properly on the griffe finition and also their is a weired sound when you fully turn the wheel on the griffe version other than that amazing mod edit: even the gti speedo is off
That's what I wanted to mean, the real values themselves are definitely not enough for that reason, and that's where I find myself clueless on how to make the engines accurate without messing things up (even more....) Ok, hotfix has been published with the following changes: Griffe rims position fixed Griffe rims texture is now double sided Added missing XLD config (I knew something was missing...) Fixed XLD Badge (The L was deformed and the D wasn't accurate enough) All the other stuff are known issues already posted on the first post, so nothing I can do on my own as well for now...
That is very simple, just increase the torque for each given RPM point in the main engine until you have accurate values, then adjust different intakes and other stuff if necessary. No need to mess with friction and all that stuff if you chose the most similar vanilla engine already
Oh, nice to hear! I was afraid I should tweak one thing, and then another to compensate, and then another, and so on...will try and see if I can get at least one engine right (I tried to choose a similar vanilla engine, so one thing less to worry) and if things go right, will move to more, thanks
Great update just in! Thanks to @dumpling who as always, is here to give everything a great boost All engine options overhauled with realistic stats All configurations updated with new changes Suspension tweaks I just tested it before release, and wow, it really makes a difference!
I think you are being a bit optimistic here, doing one engine is already difficult, at least to do it properly, but all engines? That will still take a while. Anyway, more progress, the XR trim is almost done (still WIP) but the brand new 9753462580 hubcaps are already in:
Late update with the XR in! Added XR config Includes new light grey parts, and new seat, door panels and interior design New XR badge New 9753462580 hubcaps New XE rear seats New XE seats upholstery Added missing textures on broken yellow foglights 1.9 Engine option revised (thanks to @dumpling) Added power steering and ABS to Griffe config (thanks to @dumpling) Fixed suspension sound issue (simply removed sound file should have no sounds now) (thanks to @dumpling) Not for now, since those are pre-facelift parts. Not a no, but not a yes either for now. A police config will definitely be added at one point, that's for sure
