Happy new year! Still hard at work (but not in an insane way, that's for sure) with the 205, since it was released half done, not only more trims are in the pipeline, but also some rework/rethought of certain things are neccesary. For example, the base gauge cluster has been remade from scratch, the old one was simply atrocious and was highly inaccurate in terms of proportions, details and quality, here's the new one: Far from perfect, but a giant leap forward compared to what was there. Also, an interior skin system is in the works, like in the Defender, to reduce the amount of textures, increase quality and make things simplier by reducing the amount of parts. Just the seats and the door cards (and probably the shelf) will be independent, so a mix of different parts is possible. More to share soon!
The rework is definitely going to be a big one, taking the 205 to proper 'finished' status. We are now a small group with a Discord server doing research, parts, and everything needed to ensure the car and the trims are 100% accurate. The XE is almost finished, with plenty of changes done to parts, slots, textures, and more: You can spot a few new options/slots too in the pics! In fact, I think the changelog will be the hardest part to do
Small thing but any plans to change the indicator sound to more realistic one? It annoys me more than it should lol.
thx --- Post updated --- i found online a Peugeot 205 but 4-5 door i have 2 pics --- Post updated --- btw i forgot to say that is a suggestion --- Post updated --- i also found this doohickey (the vans) --- Post updated --- there is also a Cabriolet version --- Post updated --- i hope this helps
If this mod had a station wagon type body it'd be perfect, this is a very fun car to drive around in.
Did the actual body in the trunk, so not only the upholstery can be removed for cheap/racing trims, the underside is also a bit more accurate too now: I explained in the main post FAQ no other bodies will be made, the amount of work is just ridiculous for those, and I prefer to focus on offering as much content as I can in the 3 door.
Today, I remodeled the inner tailights, they were really inaccurate since the original lights were done from the outside in, this is, without actual references and guessing based from the outside glass, so after a quick visit to the junkyard, and a couple of hours, this is the result: Also added the 0.31 mirrors, couldn't stand the old ones anymore
Now I can look at my children screaming in the back seat --- Post updated --- wait. I don't have kids
No, the 205 is already a lot of work ahead, but since it was very advanced by the time I first left it, it's very much worth it, the Scénic is too unfinished. I mean, who knows, but in the short-term at least, is a no, maintaining 3 mods is already a hard task by itself, giving how complicated they are in terms of features and parts.
