Hello, Last time i tried this mod, suspension system of it was actually Covet's one with double wishbones at front (it was McPherson struts IRL 205) and independent at rear (it was torsion beam with torsion bars like Renault 9 IRL). Is there any planned update for suspension system?
I already said several times the update is a big one and all these post are development work to give you guys some insight, you'll know for sure when it comes, first of all, the words 'Update Released' will be clearly said, and of course, a big changelog with pics as usual will be shown. Some things have been tried here and there, but the rear suspension has had torsion beams for quite some time, in fact current version, outdated as it is, should have it: As for the front one, I might try to take the McPherson out of another car, but of course, tuning everything is a different story, and can't promise anything at all there...at least the suspension components would be realistic.
i dont know if its just me, but to me the headlights dont look the same? one looks clear when the other doesnt, or atleast as much
Well...I used the Mk.1 Pessima front suspension to replace the double wishbone from the Covet, and the mesh didn't requiere much work, it was a bit too wide, a bit too much to the front, that's it. Jbeaming though...well: Steering explodes on spawn, and the amount of stress is just plain ridiculous, I tried adjusting a lot of things, including of course trying to move as much as possible to their new locations, but I have zero idea on how to fix the extreme forces stressing/breaking stuff. So I would please need some expertise on this, would really appreciate it, since it means having the 'proper' suspension or having the incorrect one forever
So, even with the current front suspension fiasco going on, everything else has going quite smoothly so far, with lots of hours, research, and I need to punctualize it again, a small Discord team dedicated to the development of the mod Anyway, even though work is definitely still pending in the pipeline (and quite a lot!) I reached the main goal I had for this update, having all the original trims 'fixed' and enhanced, plus 2 new ones, so, long story short, tomorrow is update day! I can't guarantee a specific hour, but rest asured, it's coming tomorrow no matter what...not only in case a last minute issue is found, but mainly because the changelog will take a long time to write
That reaction on suspension system was quite fast, many thanks. I'll get in touch for future updates of it.
You might have edited the geometry incorrectly, instead of eyeballing it I would advise finding a laser scan of the real suspension and getting the coordinates from that
