It seems that it was a common practice during the 80's and early 90's in that cars would begin with grilles, and then facelifted to feature a very small "aero" grille. Seeing as were posting our favourite examples, here's some Skylines:
    R31 Zenki.png
Pre Facelift (Zenki), with large, sexy grille

    R31 Kouki.jpg
Post Facelift (Kouki), with small "aero" grille

The Pessima fits right in this era. The version that Gabester has made has a normal, large grille, so I suppose that this means that for a facelift version, a sloping bonnet with a very small grille would suit it well.

The felicia facelift model came in 98 or 99 I think and reintroduced the grill, so makes sense that the pre-facelifted version and the favorit before it had aero grills through the early 90's.

And maybe it won't have any grill at all, just a plain piece of metal. Skoda Favorit had that kinda face in later years

There is no hole for air at all, just the panel gaps, everything goes through the bumper.

I don't think they sold the favorit or felicia at all in the US. In the rest of the world, the closest you got to a hot hatch was the 1.6l in the felicia (dunno what they offered in the favorits) short of modding one in which case someone did manage to cram a VW VR6 engine of some sort into one and there are a few other popular engine swaps for it (usually VW based). I'm looking at getting another felicia in which case I *might* (emphasis on might as I equally (or more likely) may not) try the 1.4 AFH swap.

I'm disappointed that no one brought up the Mustang in this discussion:

    :p

Actually, I could probably list at least ten more examples of this. But foxbodies win every time, so there.

Eh don't think so, it is the exact same vehicle really juts looks different, 100% same vehicle conception, and it would be a waste of time to make two completely same vehicles. The devs want to keep the vehicle selection more colorful, and there still is a lot of kinds of cars and vehicles that haven't been made.

Well, if it is (almost) exactly the same, surely it would be (I think, don't know much about JBeam yet) simple to have both in, with shared components (such as D-15/Roamer)

I could see a coupe version of this or even a more luxurious version too similar to a Honda legend

is it me or is the Ibishu Pessima is based on the Mazda 626 they look almost identical. I have done a comparison of both of them. the images are not that good I apologize for that

    the 1998 Pessima

    pessima.png

    and the 1989 Pessima
    pessima2.png

So that settles the "what is the ibishu pessima" debate with the Mazda 626 so that might mean that there is a possibility of a Wankel Ibishu. and if you look at the hubcaps of the Ibishu 200bx they look similar to the wheels on this Mazda rx7
    mazda_rx7turbo_88.jpg pessima hubcaps.png

I guess this sounds like a conspiracy theory but it was getting to my head I needed to solve the riddle.

    Ibishu= Mazda confirmed

I did put some research into this claim so its true.

You are overlooking the other ibishu products. The covet has many similarities to the civic. The 200bx has many similarities to the 180sx and 240sx. So we have a Honda and a Nissan.

So Ibishu = Honda confirmed and Ibishu = Nissan confirmed if we follow your logic.

Its easiest to just go "here are some fictional ibishu cars" and leave it at that. They are obviously japanese. That is all there is to it.

plus some inspiration from mazda so its Honda, Mazda and Nissan but I guess its Gabes cars so ask him for where he gets his inspiration. but you can see some Mazda thrown in as well :)

ibishu covet= Honda civic, Nissan pulsar and Mazda 323

    ibishu pigeon= reliant rialto.

ibishu 200bx= Nissan 200sx, mazda rx7 and maybe some Honda prelude.

1964 Ibishu Miramar= mazda familia, some Daihatsu and Nissan.

so basicly ibishu is mainly a take on a few other brands and Mazda has joined the party.

Ok that last post didn't end well so I will try again I thought it would make this car more unique if it was made into a liftback (I understand that some people will hate this idea)
Again_Dejavu do not bother saying anything this time.

(Mazda 626 liftback as an example)
It will make the car seem more sporty but it still will be practical.

"It would look better if you gave it a liftback" *posts picture of a car with a liftback*

"It looks like this car" *posts picture of a car that sadly isn't Matt Farah's million mile lexus*

Does anyone else get the feeling that these are just excuses to post images of cars in these threads? Because I'm struggling really to see much of a point after what seems to be hundreds of these repeated posts. I mean, I'm scrolling through images of trucks, old fiat hatchbacks, cavaliers, mustangs, sports coupes and the odd honda that maybe could be vaguely relevant.
