Repo page - it has been around a year and they still haven’t linked this thread to the resource D: (surprisingly) In 1990 after the release of the Compact Vehicle Platform-based cars, Autron was doing very well. But there was a niche of smaller cars missing, and there was high demand for 4-door vehicles. So they created a vehicle based on the Pessima, which has just released not long prior. And thus is how the JS Platform was made. The platform includes: - the Xenira, a swift and light sedan that can take you anywhere, - the Xenicoupe, a sporty and nimble coupé capable of being cool and uninteresting at the same time, - the Xenihatch, a trusty family vehicle which is actually a wagon. (liftback in pre-1.0), - the Xenira LWB, a majestic long boy made for higher class demand, - the Xemini/Xenira J-Spec, a RWD Japanese coupé about which everything is small (including power) The car comes in different trims alike to the CVP, ranging from indian market variants to prestigious luxury models to the most aggresive and powerful French coupés you’ve ever seen. Production years: 1992-1995 for pre-facelift, 1996-1999 for facelift 1, 2000-2004 for facelift 2 Check out the repo page linked above for full details on all the configurations! This thread is mostly for things regarding the mod such as bug reports or questions. Here are some pre-beta development stage pictures! Spoiler: some pictures Made by @Franz027 - here Made by @DieselDuster - here Made by @Wassup487 - here Final version pictures can be found on the mod’s repo page. Original message for context on replies: This is a thread for one of my current protects, the Autron Xenira/JSP (Japanese Sedan Platform). Essentialy, Autron Pessima. I’ll be posting some images here every once in a while, so for those interested, enjoy. Also I’m surprised that for all this time nobody bothered to notice I accidentally wrote „Protects” instead of „Projects” lol This mod requires the Autron CVP mod to function properly (important).
Yeah, just wait a minute. --- Post updated --- The front looks like a cartoon villain lmao --- Post updated --- Thanks, I’m happy you like my mods!
So far I’ve only slightly reshaped the lights and slapped some autron badges and a steering wheel (this mod will require the CVP btw), and almost all of the parts are still „pessima_something” but I’m planning to make it a full Autron - with the full lettering, engines, design and gauges. I am confident this will be my best mod yet though, so stay tuned for stuff! My next step as for now is to add some engines. Will be updating every once in a while, but there will be a 2-week break starting tomorrow due to personal reasons. --- Post updated --- Ah, I see people are already finding this thread quite rapidly. That’s cool. Thanks for the support!
For those wondering, Yes I’ll either 210M or Zwölfette swap it. It will be as a config. And I might strap a toilet on its roof. Maybe. The best song for driving this car is the Lego Island Jail theme, the most „cartoony villain” music ever.
Yes , there is this function As for the light , it's probably because it's so weird to see them round , especially on such a boxy car
Also,to say something lore-wise, the JSP platform is used for 3 vehicles: - Optimera - family sedan for all - Xenira - luxury sedan for the rich - Luxura - USDM Xenira I just use the Xenira name the most as it’s the best IMO --- Post updated --- So this is the Optimera. --- Post updated --- Ok so because I suffer from IQ loss and can’t make a vote, I shall ask everyone a question. Like for Yes, Agree for No, or just reply with your opinion so it doesn’t accidentaly turn into me begging for likes. The headlights - do they stay or do they go. --- Post updated --- I quite like their goofiness (I mean this is a French car) but I think I should know others’ opinion on whether to keep them or not.
Very nice idea. I think you can get inspiration from the Peugeot 405 and most Citroën and Renault cars from the 80s.
Thanks! I’ll try to take inspiration from the 405, but I fell in love with the headlights, so they’ll propably stay unless I face some massive backlash for it. Body colored grille maybe? --- Post updated --- I know, I’m gonna make a facelift with more 80s headlights! I’m a genius! (Not that much really)
since the autron petitron is a lightweight small car, this could be based on being a lightweight sedan? would make it more than just a pessima restyle, and could be it's selling point - lightweight and therefore economical since it wouldn't need big engines, while still keeping the spacious sedan design
