I am not sure if you will be able to do this, but would it be possible to make a ultra luxury rebadged version rather than a shitbox. Like with a really smooth V10 or V12. Also like much heavier than the normal car but like more satisfying to drive and stuff, and like gold interior trims and stuff, something like a old rolls royce. I think it will be too much work to make that properly tho. I know the luxe already exists but it still feels kinof cheap.
Sorry, the picture was pretty misleading, I meant like lexus vs toyota, basically the same car but the lexus feels more solid and premium and luxury. I know that the lxm versions alr exist but it still feels kinof like a cheap car to drive. Maybe the rebadged luxury version could cost like 50-80% more than the lxm but feel heavier with better sound isolation and better interiors? Maybe even a new grill or bonnet I mean like the car below vs this one But I think it's not feasible to do because it will take too much time and effort just for a config. And its also not lore friendly...
Well , the rebedge versions we were talking about were for Iranian/probably every arabica countries domestic market . I see what you mean tho
Ohhh, are cars in the Middle east different to cars in usa and europe? I always just thought that they just import their cars from japan or europe or usa so its basically the same car as the cars there.
Thanks to cajagger, my vacations in Tunisia (and dizzledazzle) , i learned the french sold cars in Iran and other arab countries (tho for Tunisia, it's a diferent story) : If you live in Iran in the early 2010's and you want a Peugeot, first choice would be a Pars. It's basically a restyled 405 that looks like a hybrid between a 406 and a 605 . Cheap versions to choose from , the Pars stopped production recently, and is common in Iran and around. But if you have gotten up the chance to somehow see the EUDM Peugeot 405 , and prefer it to the Pars, then the Peugeot KOA is the best choice. On the outside , it's a EUDM Peugeot 405 , but it actually sits on the Platform of the Pakyan, an old iranian car wich is itself a Hillman (so a brittish car). But let's Say you don't like both because they are outdated , so you Can pick-up a Peugeot 206 , wich is still sold here , and gave birthday to a funny meme. But then , you would prefer a sedan , like the 405s , and then you see : a 206 sedan ! It's a variant of the 206 exclusively for specific countries, made to compete against another car wich follows the same concept , but we'll get to that in a minute . Now , let's Say it's a neighbour of yours that afforded himself a Peugeot, and you want to afford something better . But due to lack of money , it's a used car you will buy , and when you look for one , you something that looks like a Renault 5 , but it's actually not called R5 , and it is a bit different . The (mahindra) SEPA is a joint venture between Renault and an iranian car company , to produce the R5 . It was produced all the way to 2008 , in 3 series. The serie 1 was Renault quality, but due to a Lost connectionship between Renault and the iranian car company, the Iran company couldn't Access to Renault part for the SEPA, wich needed a refresh , but they had Access to the much modern Kia pride , wich is a connectionship between Kia and Mazda, making it where the Pride used Mazda parts. So what the iranian car company did IS that , they refreshed the SEPA by putting it on a Kia pride Powertrain, for serie 2 and 3. So anyway, you stumbled upon that but you don't want it , you prefer a sedan , so you look deeper , and you find something that you recognise as a Renault Clio II , but it's a sedan and .... it's called : symbol ! The renault symbol is an exclusive model for Iran and other arabic countries. It's basically a clio II in a sedan form . It has three generations (but in that timeline, only two) , all being the sedan form of the newest clio available on sale. Now , if you know other things , please let me know , and i'll update/correct this
Nice lol, I never knew about all of this, but I dont know much about cars in the middle east in general Are these cars like the indie versions in the JSP, or are they more upmarket than that?
Understandable. Arab car industry is pretty obscur As for your question I would Say , a bit more upmarket and outdated than the Indian market. But it's hard to compare them
Don’t worry all, I’m still working on 1.0 Just letting you all know bc I’m not a big enough modder to get away with no progress for a while, but then again nobody really cares so I guess I can get away with it…? One thing I’ll say: you will not be disappointed with this version.
How is the 2000s facelift going to look like? Spoiler pls EDIT: I meant like a sneak peak into it, not a actual spoiler on the car
