I'm not talking about that but whatever, I'm just saying that unless you remake the dash, adding PBR to it generally looks wrong if it uses pre pbr textures
I wouldn't say so, since I've done both, and "improper" PBR materials generally works for simple objects that are metallic, but since interiors have a bunch of metal, matte plastic and shiny plastic, you need properly added PBR materials (since afaik you can't reuse the specular map as a texture)
Guys i don’t want ever in my existence be that one dude that annoys for “bumping” threads and such stuff, i even had some arguing with people like that when i tried to warn that some mods were outdated, and then i even learned to fix something myself. Thanks to the community i got lot of help and support reviving mods such as Island of speed, and Jato textures on Dansworth buses, where then i discovered that due to game update lot of jato textures of other mods went broken (like this one and also the Kamaz truck). But if a mod still works and has all working textures i don’t think that there’s need to keep discussing about it when the thread was kinda already “abandoned’ before. PBR and openable doors are a recent feature that i don’t think it’s that important on older mods, especially when the original author isn’t working on it anymore. Peace
agreed but i think im gonna precise on my terms what i think is bumping messages that are uploaded after more then 2 months of not being uploaded only exeptions are refresh's of the mod in that forum
Yes that is the actual common conception of bumping but let me tell that if nobody warned that the mod doesn’t work anymore after a certain update that broke it someone could still advise and ask if someone knows how to fix it. Example: i bumped the Road of Speed thread cause it was working fine but with latest updates they changed map naming and they don’t allow “spaces” anymore between words so the map wasn’t loading. I wrote it, specifying that if nobody cared they could just ignore my message and move on letting the thread die but still someone was upset and bothered me for nothing. After that lot of people agreed with me and one of them told me how to fix it. I indeed fixed it and uploaded the fixed version. Without all of that the mod would’ve been forgotten when the fix wasn’t even that hard to do. So exceptions for me are of course when you post a fix and when nobody else mentioned the mod is not working (cause if someone does maybe someone that knows how to fix it could help) in few words if the bump helps getting the mod fixed. If people doesn’t know about it’s existence how are they supposed to make a fix? Lot of peple just asks for “when update” or “bump” without trying to put hands on mods, that’s why it results so annoying.
