    Applies to 1997-2003 Models

    Overall Evaluation:
    Marginal
    Structure & Safety Cage: Marginal
    Injury Measures:
    Head/Neck: Good
    Chest: Good
    Hip/Thigh: Good
    Lower Leg/Foot: Acceptable
    Restraints and Dummy Kinematics: Good
Important: Frontal crash ratings should be compared only among vehicles of similar weight.

The Ibishu Pessima was redesigned for the 1996 model year.

    Structure
The driver space was maintained reasonably well, with maximum intrusion of the lower interior of 17 cm and maximum intrusion of the upper interior of 12 cm.

    Injury measures
Measures taken from the dummy indicate a risk of possible injury to the left foot in a crash of this severity.

    Restraints and dummy kinematics
The dummy's head barely contacted the frontal airbag before sliding off the left side and leaving the head vulnerable to contact with forward structure.

The dummy's position in relation to the door frame, steering
wheel, and instrument panel after the crash test indicates that
the driver's survival space was maintained reasonably well.

Except for door hinge pillar deformation, intrusion into the
driver's space was reasonably well controlled, and risk of
injury to the dummy's legs and feet was reasonably low.

A exceptionally strong safety cage helped keep the front
tire from intruding into the driver's footwell area.
