I'm amazed at how close that is. Very well done for that!

One suggestion: I noticed in the video that the underside of the bonnet is see-through. This can be fixed by giving it some thickness.

    Did you model this yourself?

    If not, credit the creators.

Thanks! I've been working on this for a few months, learning as I go.

But I must credit ( and have credited already in that thread ) Gabster. The seats, engine block, wheels, exhasut system, brakes, and shocks are from Gabsters models. And of course the jbeam is from Gabster as I don't know how to create a full car jbeam yet.

I want color, I don't like it with all the no material things. Next thing you gotta work on too is the inside of the car.

For sure looking forward to this. One of those normal cars you always see on the road that I'd just love to thrash on.

Keep up the hard work! Looks great!

I've just tried this model and noticed it was still RWD and the real car is FWD. I know this is based off the Grand Marshal, so the jbeams and the mechanical components are from that model. Plus the file that I downloaded has texture but no colour, but if everyone doesn't have that problem, ignore that last statement. Can't wait for the final version!

My older sister drives an Elantra and I would love to show her what it might look like after if she's not careful. Looking good. Make sure you give the proper credits and if it is of your own creation, keep up the good work!

No progress on the jbeam yet, I figured i'd finnish the colors first. As for using the hatch jbeam it wouldnt work well, the hatch only has 2 doors and the trunk is totally different, also mixing the hatch jbeam with the fullsize jbeam is problematic. My only option is to create my own full jbeam which will take some time.

Understandable. But a lot of creators have taken a *lot* of flak for content that is more finished than this. So my advice is, before they come demanding your head on a stick: Dont release something, even as a beta, until it is good enough to be released.

My whole "Putting your car in game" tutorial is based on this, I've received a lot of praise for it, I let everyone know it's for testing purposes and beta release on the private (paid) forums only, a public release would be nothing less than a Russian mod type of thing, shameful.

Are you serious? I am sure that if jcrew thought that this was not good enough then he would not of released it.... This Elantra is by far better than a lot of other released content that you can find here.

If you or anyone has an issue with the model/artist/design or anything then why would you waste your time posting....
I bet you still use the model even aftter telling him he shouldn't of released it until it's worthy. Let us all see you do better...

WHAT?? It doesn't have a proper jbeam. It is literally a grand marshal that has elantra camouflage.

He can do whatever he wants and let people "beta test" his mod, even though it's only a chance to look at the model and nothing like the actual car at all. Don't try to say it's better than a lot of other content. The only difference this has from the abhorred "russian" mods is that he made the model himself. Sure that deserves kudos, but it's still a cruddy thing to drive atm, and still IMO isn't good enough for release. People can look at your model just fine with pictures. Release it when it will be at least a little worth driving.

    14ramosr is right.

I understand that, as a tutorial its wonderful, but as content...there is a lot of russian mods that are a lot higher quality than this.

Im not sure if youre trolling...or just stupid. I have deleted the car, i dont need another grand marshall. And actually, I am in a collaboration with a friend of mine to create a few vehicles for the game. *and they wont be released until they are ready*
