tbh "old" volvo's look way better than the ones currently sold excluding the pole of the stars for some reason
Just imagine its a v40. Manual, FWD, R-design, UK spec, Pre-facelift, T5 (yes the v40 t5 didn't come in a manual) And then you have one of my dream cars (next to an elise) Also yellow uk plates plz
Ooh yeah, finally! The perfect christmas present, a lot of thanks to you guys which have worked on this beauty right here, really you dont have an idea how happy i am! <3.
Thank you to everyone for providing helpful feedback; Spiicy and I will take them into consideration when updating the mod. I'll answer some of them below: The original Forza Motorsport 4 model depicts a US-market T6 AWD R-Design, so the pre-facelift gauges are in customary units with the regular gasoline tachometer. Metric units for the speedometer and a diesel tachometer are planned once we can get decent references. I do appreciate your perspective of a S60 owner. While we did our best with adjusting the powertrain and suspension according to online references, it may be possible that some of the specs are not accurate when compared to the real world S60. Since the mod is still in beta, we will continue to improve the technical specifications so that the mod can be as close to the actual vehicle. Technically, there's already a T5 AWD configuration included, albeit in the form of the pre-facelift Exterior Package variant. But I suppose there could be a few more configurations added in order to factor in FWD and AWD variants on certain trim levels. Currently, there are no vanilla sound samples of a 5-cylinder diesel engine; if there was, then we would've added it to the diesel 5-pot. Tuning the gasoline 5-cylinder engine samples for the diesel was not satisfactory enough, if I remember correctly. Of course, we could also use custom sound samples, but that would require finding some decent ones. Nonetheless, we will address this once we can get something done on that end.
Yeah, I get what ya mean. At least y'all got a working, still simply fantastic mod out already and that's what matters. Just a bitter taste hearing 4-cylinder diesel noises out of a D5. If I was visiting my parents at this point in time, I could've asked to borrow the '08 XC90 D5 that we have and source some samples myself. Same engine after all, more or less.
yes, along with diesel gauges. ill have to fine tune some of the engines even more, along with the transmissions. Plus beamng isnt 100% real, so it may simulate some things a little different despite having all the numbers right. I do want to make real 5cyl diesel sounds. I just need to sample a yt video or something, and then I never set up a breakgroup for this, I should go ahead and do so. I think barry already responded to some of these messages, but this is my perspective lol
This mod seems really great from the bit of gameplay I played. Before i got my outback (funny that you also were doing the overlander lol) I used to drive my dad's P3 XC60 T6 all the time and I was seriously considering getting one of those S60s. The T6 seems to be realistic (??hard to tell how game physics translate to irl), I would say the sound is pretty similar-ish to how it sounds from the driver's seat. The things I noticed were that the T6 trims are FWD, and the 6 cylinder only ever came as AWD. I also didn't see a T5 AWD config. With the Sport appearance package, I noticed if you turn off TC then you hear Vivace exhaust sounds. Another really small detail I thought I might point out is the sport appearance has square exhaust outlets. (u might already know that so srry for mentioning it lol) I'm not sure if this is 100% true but I thought the T5 Sport appearance package was FWD only, but I could be wrong. Other than that, It looks great and deforms well! I think you've done an excellent job! (Also if you want some pictures of metric gauges, I can take some and put them here if you want. I saw talk about references.)
Using "i5_engine" for soundConfigEngine and "i4d_exhaust" for soundConfigExhaust still sounds better imo
