Hey everyone! I’ve been working on a 2017 Ford Fusion mod and wanted to share it here. It includes 15 configurations covering S, SE, Titanium, Platinum and Sport trims, with gasoline, Hybrid and Energi powertrains.

This is a conversion and expansion of an existing model, with considerable work on the BeamNG integration, additional trims, interior features and hybrid systems.

    Features

    • 2.5L, 2.0 EcoBoost and 2.7 EcoBoost gasoline configurations, including FWD and AWD options.
    • Hybrid and plug-in Energi models with regenerative braking and power-flow displays.
    • Energi charging and Auto EV, EV Now and EV Later modes.
    • Opening doors, hood and trunk.
    • Working power windows and sunroofs on equipped models.
    • Five-seat occupant support and deployable airbags.
    • Working gauges, screens, interior lighting and interactive visors.
    • Simulated 911 Assist audio.
    • Engine, cooling, suspension, brake and wheel customization.
    What’s new in 1.1

    • Added SE, Titanium and Platinum 2.0 EcoBoost AWD configurations, with matching badges and selection pictures.
    • Added a subtle rear spoiler to applicable trims.
    • Added working power windows and sunroofs on equipped models.
    • Updated daytime running lights and turn signals for each trim.
    • Improved the headliner, dashboard materials, speedometer visibility and visor details.
    • Strengthened the roof and refined glass, door and mirror behavior.
    • Fixed firewall trim protruding beside the front mirrors.
    • Added trunk lighting and illuminated gear-selector markings.
    • Added airbag deployment smoke and adjusted passenger-airbag deflation.
    • Refined EcoBoost engine sounds and fixed 911 Assist audio in occupant views.
    • Added performance intakes, Stage 2 ECUs, upgraded engine and cooling parts, suspension, brakes and more wheel options.
    Known issues

This is still being refined, particularly the crash deformation and some interior details. There’s also a reported issue with shaking and a nonzero speed reading while parked that I’m investigating.

Feedback is welcome! If you find an issue, please include the configuration you’re using, any changed parts, and a screenshot or description of how to reproduce it.

Built for BeamNG.drive 0.40. Install the ZIP without extracting it, and remove or disable older Fusion versions. Keep only one version active.

The interior is not only very laggy, but the center console looks like something Claude would model. I am by no means the AI police but if AI was used here then a note would be appreciated

Thanks for the feedback. I'm working on a fix for the laggy interior. I have seen performance issues after airbag deployment and I'm working on an optimization for that. Is that where you have seen the performance issue? And the use of codex IS noted in the credits.

i am seeing general performance issues when using the first person camera that i have not seen with any other car mod regardless of its level of detail, but the airbag deployment does increase the issue

Hm. Ok. I'll look at that. I haven't seen that on my end except during airbag deployment.

And something else that'll be better for this mod is having police lightbars and adding skin support to this mod
