So you may have seen me posting about this in general discussion. Basically this is a mobile game prototype in which players drive vehicles based on the concept behind Rigs of Rods. Gameplay is planned but in the meantime I'll update this thread with progress. Today's progress so far : - restructuring code to allow multiple structures loaded at one time - "RESIST_EXPANSION" type spring, that will reduce expansion slightly better than a standard spring - "RESIST_COMPRESSION" type spring, that will reduce compression slightly better than a standard spring - Tire model tuning - Added "Type w/ broken" debug mode - Added "Deform boolean" debug mode (red if deformed even slightly, green if not deformed) Truck suspension is by DrowsySam because I can't do suspensions at all (imported from here)
Re: 2D Beam Physics Prototype Sounds interesting, if you plan making it a game for smartphones, do you plan on adding WP Support (windows phone) So many good games aren't on WP

Re: 2D Beam Physics Prototype Dummiesman, this looks cool. How is this for a game expanding idea? Have your game as an app that shows traffic congestion within your area. Three beam trucks pancaked is heavy traffic today, two pancaked lighter traffic, and so on..

Re: 2D Spring Physics Game Prototype No clue about modding suport yet due to it's mobile nature. if I do a PC release however it would be modifiable. No details yet on mod creation though, as it's a WiP process in itself. Once I get gameplay I'll definitely try for a variety of terrain/vehicles, also.
Re: 2D Spring Physics Game Prototype Oh yeah, I'd like to hear gameplay suggestions btw. DrowsySam's little trailer expariment gave me one : delivery missions . Could also do the classic 'make it X distance without breaking Y springs' or just 'make it X distance'. Keep in mind that terrain is definitely being ditched, and custom terrain would be made to suit certain situations / difficulty levels.
