Even in Agentys own Change Everything-mod you have to choose stock block before overwriting engine values so I guess that´s just the way the game works.
That's not even the same thing. In my mod you have to change the long block because the mod changes the order of friction calculation, due to the way variables work in game it can't see what your engine friction is before loading the friction multipliers in the long block. Meanwhile the camshaft mod is essentially just an alternative selection of long blocks, not dedicated per engine so it will never behave the most realistic, the power gains are buffed to make the effects more noticable, and there's some trickery on top of that to make it feel like the camshaft is being changed. It conflicts with your current long block because it does exactly the same thing, so of course there will be mods that it causes major issues on. It's only a coincidence that both mods have the same issue lol. A proper way to make such mod would be writing a Lua controller executed on spawn which reads your engine values and modifies the torque table adapting it to the newly chosen camshaft, and does all the other changes you would expect from a camshaft swap... That's a lot of work though, hopefully in the future the devs will do some changes in engine simulation to make it easier to make mods like this.
Interesting! There are engine modification mods (RK´s for instance) where you can change engine parts, like camshafts etc. What do those do then?
I hope someone can answer this cause its making me feel really stupid rn, but what does IEFS stand for, I cannot find any link between the configs using it and those not using it.
Got a problem where the car really likes pulling to the left, tried using keyboard to check if it was my controller's issue and still has the same result. Also other configs and they all pull to the left aswell.
Well, guess I will only play with the wheels that actually rotate fully as every other wheel messes me up. even the wrongly mirrored horn button? And how do you know its intentional? just out of curiosity is why i am asking!
I own a 70s Datsun 260C and it has it like it, It's also like that in pictures even official ones. My guess it's a cost saving thing so they can just make one button type instead of making flipped or just so they rotate in order idk just guessing
"My guess is that it's merely a cost saving thing, so that they can just simply build one-button type instead of producing flipped, or just so that they rotate in order, idk, just guessing"
I seen IEFS on the Claria, Does that mean the Claria has support for the IEFS? If it's catalytic converters and fuel injection, Then what's the purpose? The answer would be that it would help the environment of course. Sounds like a pretty useless thing on them but oh well.
On the Claria it's just a catalytic convertor because I didn't make fuel injection for it, the purpose is to follow emission regulations
Please fix the gap in the gearbox between 2nd and 3rd gear being too big! Uphill upshifting rpm drops below 4000 and no acceleration anymore, or downshifting from 3rd isn´t possible unless you are already below 4000 rpm.
