The Tenor is a basic economy-box from the dawn of the 80s. It's average and simple, and that's why it's so likeable. It's a platform for anything you want it to be. Equipped with trim levels from basic to slightly lux, it's an affordable option for the lower- and middle class. Nowadays, it's used for cruising, naturally being slammed to the ground and occasionally racing or drifting the ones that didn't rust away yet. Hi all, this is my first BeamNG car mainly based on the E70 Corolla, S110 Silvia, and other era-fitting cars. It's branded Hirochi because I feel it fits the vibe and gives more variety to it. Current progress: Base model finished, adapting to the game. Texturing not started. Spoiler: More WIP Images Late model front Currents variants planned are: Sedan, Notchback Coupe I will explore more bodystyles like wagon or liftback, as a future expansion if not for the main release. I plan to add many parts, multiple engines based on real counterparts, mild and more extreme tuning parts, and a good few liveries to cover many styles and cultures. Current market variants planned: JDM, EDM, USDM This mod will be available for FREE! It's currently still Work In Progress. I will provide early access on Patreon once it's up to proper standards, including it's bodystyle updates, and maybe some exclusive fun stuff, like supporter window stickers. I will appreciate any support for it thru it's development, it helps me out a lot currently (click)! Thanks for reading!
Looks great so far! Really enjoying this influx of new lore-friendly projects that have been showing up lately. Keep up the great work!
Thank you everyone for the interest I am planning a diesel, so hopefully! Some more details I haven't shown before, still quite W.I.P. but it's getting there The first engine this car has is inspired by the K series toyota engines, specifically 4K. Legendary little 1.3 pushrod. I've created some ITBs for it, there'll be some customization for it to be seen.
Cool, maybe you could add more difference on the engine bay for the JDM and RHD cars where brake booster is on the right
Similar engines from the same era. Almost kind of outdated for when this car was released IRL. I haven't used the Satsuma mod, but I have scratch-modeled everything on this car so far, including all engine bits, so it's a coincidence. Yes, that's a detail I'll be paying attention to, including other RHD-LHD differences like windshield wipers.
That's a wonderful piece of work! By the way, do you have any plans to add a taxi vehicle configuration?
Perhaps I could, ye. I've been working on a bunch of parts in the meanwhile, I wanna have a good bit of aftermarket options for many kinds of builds. Been trying out the best ways to preview this car with renders too. On a more technical note, I've been working on front suspension aswell and hopefully can implement to the game soon. I have a quite rough base already ported, but it still needs a lot of JBeam work to do, which I'll try to focus on soon.
