On Hold '85-'89 Mikawa Avante [Slow Development]

I know I aready posted on this thread but for the USDM cars, what level of difference between the cars are we talking?

 

It won't be super different, left hand drive dash obviously, and likely different configs/trim and such. Engine options will likely also consist only of the large displacement 6, so no 2L models. Probably will also add different (slightly larger) 5mph absorbing bumpers, along with those silly automatic seatbelt thingies Might also do sealed beam headlights, although by 85 composite lights were legal in the US so may just leave it that way to make things simpler

I will probably also make the pillarless hardtop JDM only, as by the 80s hardtops weren't really a thing in the US anymore, plus I doubt it would have passed US safety standards for rollovers ect..

that may differ on a case by case basis but generally I don't mind if you want to use my brands (and you don't need to credit me if you want to use the brand either)

nope, in the U.S. not sealbeams intil 1987ish so 85 would be THE year with the craplights

 

Should i make the Mikawa Kuraun in automation soon? I have an idea for what the body will be. If i do make it, i'd probably have it done by like wednesday afternoon since i cant tonight

Huh, I always thought 83 was the year that composites became legal, thanks to efforts to change laws by Ford
of course while they may have been legal from 83 it may have taken some manufactures time to adapt their models to composites, at least for the likes of the MX73 Cressida they appear to have used composites from the 85 model year

As far as automation mods go anyone can feel free to do whatever, seeing as they are a bit of a different category to regular mods, and not something that I have any interest in creating myself

 

If i could make actual vehicles, i'd make the Kuraun instantly.
