Fun mod, very well made. Not sure if an ambulance is in the works (not a request in any way) but I put the upfit on myself for fun & it works just fine.
It works per se, just doesn't fit that well which is why I didn't include a config for it. Needs smth like this
Amazing mod, pretty much what I wanted to make like 2 years ago but gave up (my version would have been just a D-Series body on a modified T-Series frame with a custom hood so it's better that you made this instead) There are some janky things like some parts not being skinnable, clipping or straight up missing unless you spawn the H-Series first, also a ton of unfinished stuff that should have been removed probably, but overall this is a great mod, the amount of customization you can do and silly parts you can put on and ability to just do stuff that makes zero sense (as shown on the image above) is amazing The custom sounds are some of the best sounds I have heard in mods, and I really like the lots of small barely noticable details like the turbo glow, custom horn sounds, folding mirrors, realistic air brakes, etc. The fact that you can swap some of the parts from the mod into the D-Series is a cherry on top (although they are invisible for me, idk if that's on my end or a bug). V10 powered ambulance with huge tires is something I didn't know I wanted lol Overall, congratulations on being the first modder to make a medium duty truck properly! There are some rough edges here and there but overall this is one of the highest quality mods I have seen this year, keep it up!
The custom parts are skinnable, they just have a curious way of doing it. Plus not all skins support every part which is why the police skin is as it is in your image. Check the skins folder inside the mod to see how it works. In short, every hood is a part of a different material so the same skin applies different textures to different hoods. The spoiler works the same way. This is how, with the same skin, these two trucks can look different:
Driveshafts are held up by a bearing in the middle to not have an obscenely long driveshaft with the consistency of a noodle. However this is inaccurate as the driveshaft should slowly be lowered down and not suddenly angled down at the last bend. I'll address this sometime later
Holy crap, it's here. I expected this to come out sometime next year. Pretty damn good Christmas present!
Fits 54" tires nicely, although it cant do much with them it still looks nice. Best mod of 2022, maybe in all of beam history
Here are all the bugs I found: Bottom of the turbo looks strange. Is there supposed to be somekind of pipe going there? There seems to be four pedals. And shifter goes inside of this bench. Overall this mod is very great and it has good little details.
1: Bottom of the turbo is solid cast iron and it's not easy to heat up. That's intentional 2: Parking brake - clutch - brake - throttle? 3: All the included configs use bucket seats with the manual shifter (unless if I've missed some or if they are from the skinpack)
That seat thing is from skin pack. Also I didin't know about that parking brake is like that in American trucks (I only have experince from Soviet trucks).
It's the regular foot mounted parking brake on the hydraulic brake models. The air brake models will get the yellow parking brake valve sometime as well About the seat, I'll address that when possible
