Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI Thanks for the knowledge! I love learning these little tidbits of information about cars lol.
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI Are you thinking of releasing a WIP download for the car or only releasing it fully when finished?
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI I am waiting my time till this car is 100% done before I download and test it for myself but I am excited
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI Progress List (green = complete, orange = in-progress, red = starting soon) -Separate/Edit the mesh -Place over hatch Jbeam -Fix interior parts -Fix all materials and textures -Edit the Jbeam to fit the mesh better -Add reflections -Potentially release a beta -Get some new sport wheels -Add working gauges -Add working lights -(depending on difficulty) Add a mirror to the right side -Official Release! Its very near to a BETA i guess.
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI Taking a guess at Private Alpha at the moment..on the verge of Beta...but only the creator knows for sure..
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI its because the Beta is in orange letters, which means is in Progress so i think it needs eventually some days (but not much) till we can drive the golf. Also he told me their are just some things to do before he release it, not so much, he said.
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI I agree with you on that I just hope the feel of it is good and theres not much wrong with the beta release...but I am sure there will be bugs with it..
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI Really looking forward to this, it looks really nice in Silver! Can't wait to drive it!
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI You might heared that Mythbuster made the suspension for it, so the driving feeling would be good i think. Also he said its kinda like his Seat Ibiza he said and the suspension seems similair. And what do you mean with bugs? Unrealistic deformation? I guess it deforms well, like the screenshots. And then 0-60in2.9sec comes online, he will tell us about bugs or something else i think.
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI Knowing Mythbuster I bet he has a fantastic eye for details when he can put his mind to it...I am sure it will be a real lovely little car to hurl around the place
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI I'm hoping to have a beta released by this weekend. Unfortunately, I can't properly rename the meshes through Blender. I'll keep working at it though. To answer a previous question, the beta shouldn't be too rough once released. It won't have a few features like lights, working gauges, and other small details. Those will come in future updates.
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI I dont like golfs (well the golf 6 r is kinda sexy). This. Thing. Will. Be. PUNISHED.
Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI cannot wait to roll some fenders and slam this thing on some shiny BBS RS's

Re: (UPDATE 1-7) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI I had a fair amount of time to work on the Golf today. I renamed all of the meshes and Jbeam files (thanks to Mythbuster's help), cleaned up the materials, fixed the textures on the windows, and created a few default configurations. I also managed to get a new set of wheels for the rally version of the car. If I get proper permission, I will release them on the beta version. In addition, I stumbled across some cool front bumper and spoiler meshes for the 1987 Volkswagen Golf. The meshes aren't the best quality, but they look pretty nice. I might include them in a later version of the mod. No progress pics to show. Most of my progress involved cleaning up the files and fixing minor issues.
