Really nice, though there is a few spots where the N/B needs to be updated.

    Like here;

    (imported from here)

Continue the n/b from the body to match the rear door :)

Re: (RELEASE 1-12) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI

Seeing that this was released totally made my day. It looks fantastic and drives great :D

Now I'm gonna nitpick a little, you can take these or leave these. Just know that you have my full appreciation either way :p

Interior: Gauges don't work (I'm sure you know), and it's missing a row of blank switches from the dash (not really an issue, I'm just OCD that way).
Exterior: The rally wheels don't show up for me sometimes. Not sure why. Also, you modelled the front "big bumper" (rally bumper) but not the rear. Looks kinda funny that way (again, OCD). Probably in the same OCD category is the fact that you modelled the 8V engine (looks great :)) when you have the 16V listed in the parts section.

But finally, this thing is slooooow. 0-60 times are right around where they should be, but the engines just don't have enough top end. Maybe it's the gearing? I was able to max the default 1.8 16V engine in the game at 150kph, and I know from personal experience that this engine in this car will go a lot faster while in stock form. The turbo model barely hits 200kph, even though it's making 186hp or so (I think?)

Just some things to think about, some obviously more important than others. Other than that, I'm so happy that someone made this car, so my hat is off to you. Well done, sir.

Figured out the problem with the messed up Window-Textures:

If you got the messed up Windows:
    BeamNG 2014-01-12 22-40-42-07.jpg

Go to your graphic settings and check the lightning quality option
If its on lowest you maybe got the Messed up windows.
Put it to Low, Medium or High and the windows look well.

And... what i saw today is that the russians had already put your golf on their site. Sadly.
They also used Insanegaz´s video for present it their :/

Oh, didn't have any idea...I was wondering what those boxes were too, I just downloaded the salt flats maps yesterday. Ill try and get a pic. Its basically when the front bumper falls off, the frame of the car is really shiny, and reflective, like its chrome. Ill get a pic.

Meanwhile, I took a screenie of some cray cray damage my golf sustained lol

Hmm, I got a pic, it looks to me like its just the "paint" finish of the car, it just looks weird to me, since this is an "old" car, it shouldn't be so perfectly shiny. But ill show you. I know its not complete obv, maybe add a little "dirt" texture or something to the finished product. And the inside roof liner pokes through the actual metal roof once the roof gets damaged, maybe that's something to look into to as well. Im really nit picky, you're doing an amazing job so far. awesome work, kind sir.

Very funny to see special note highlighted in red, but if you want type this correctly, use special version of the text from a native speaker "я не хочу что бы эта машина была опубликована, и доступна к скачиванию на других сайтах" ;)
And thanks for modding BeamNG Drive!

I love the look of this when it's missing a panel or two and has steelies on.

I saw. I'm very disappointed, but not exactly surprised. :( It really sucks having people like that in the community.

The only consolation I can find is that at least they word it like it isn't their own. Not that they credit you, of course.

Their description was actually quite nice. Since this was my first mod, I wasn't expecting much praise for it. The translation is a bit rough, but some of it makes sense.
"In fact, despite the fact that the author marked as Beto model, it is not poorly done, the fact that Western modders are more demanding of his work and even with small modifications dochetami not marked as Beto."

I absolutely Love this car, my only complaint is that the rear Rally wheels dont show up, they just go to the empty option.

I've noticed the problem as well, and can't seem to figure out why it happens. The only way to select rally wheels is to set up a configuration in a text file. That's how I got the wheels to work on the rally version of the Golf.

The mod is looking pretty good so far! Once it gets more polished it will be really good.

Re: (RELEASE 1-12) '87 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI

    Needs a couple of things:

    • Anyone who's spawned this first and then spawned the covet afterwards will note material conflicts.
    • Something should be done about the back faces of the interior model because they poke through the mesh when the car is damaged.
    • No doubt you already know the front of the car likes to damage itself on spawn

These are the only issues I can really find that I wouldn't expect, needs a lot of polish but this is hands down a neat first project. First time a converted Covet hasn't sucked :p
