What happened to the one we had worked on before? Or is it to outdated?

No offense to Fen, but Fen would probably slap it on a Roamer JBeam and forget half the materials. I'm not saying I'm any better than him, I'm just saying what he would do.

That's actually dead accurate to what he does on some of his mods, no offense to him also.

Hey man, I think I've posted here before, but just wanted to reiterate I love this mod! As an owner of a Second gen that's dead rn I can sympathize with you man. Glad you got yours back on the road, mine's probably gonna be down until August or November. Then I gotta get her towed to a shop so they can pull apart my transmission, put a new starter in and do some head work.

i heard those 2nd gen rust horribly and instead of redoing the trans do an engine swap might as well. if / when my motor goes its getting 5.0 v8 and a leaf spring conversion with Daytona axles.

Actually mines been in a really dry environment it's whole life so minimal rust. And the motor is still good, just old. If I was going to do any swap, it would likely be a 3.4 swap, as the 5vze (as opposed to the 3.sl0w 3vze) has incredible reliability and decent amounts of power (I can even supercharge it). Oh yeah and hear it's a pretty easy swap.

Oh yeah and my 2nd gen still has tailgate.

Yeesh. Well only rust on my 4Runner is on the exhaust and some minor surface rust on the passenger side rear door, just up at the top corner. Going to get it sandblasted and repainted after I get it working again, then try to restore it to it's state when my Grandpa owned it.

Will there be a base version? What I mean is will there be a version with no mods? (ex: huge tires) Sorry, but I prefer the stock versions better.
