97 year old uncle is dying, it made me come to a sad fact...

    he fought in World War Two, he was 21 when it broke out... that means the youngest ww2 vets who would've been 18 then are now 93-94 years old... I know it's a part of life but it's sad that there are so few of that generation that are still alive :(

    Death comes to all regardless of age. But its what you do in life that matters. Your Uncle served his country and regardless of his views of modern society we have to thank him for his work and making (even if its non extant) mark on the world.

    Edit: Just a American point of view. Probably different between all country's.
