A new Civetta car

    And the M1 is nothing like the conventional german supercars... :D

    Why not?

    Italian design, and mechanical layout blatantly inspired by italian mid-engined sportscars of that era.

    I'd say the M1 was BMW's attempt at making a Ferrari...

    My problem with it is that it looks TOO much like the bolide designs of Italian supercars has changed a lot since the 80's.

    what is the civetta bolide based on? I think its based on the detomaso pantera. But there isn't such a car anymore. so I think a new civetta should be based of a Luxury Performance Coupe.

    Ok, that's another matter altogether.

    However, a new "classic" Civetta could still make sense if positioned higher than the Bolide in the lineup of the brand, much like Ferrari used to offer both V8 entry-levels and V12 high-end sportscars.
