ABS doesn't really work

Cars with anti-lock brakes take longer to stop than cars without. For example the ETK I series needed 365 meters to get from 300kph-0 without ABS and 420m with ABS. Its the same story with a lot of the vehicles

 

It does work, it is designed to prevent the tires from locking up, not improve the braking distance.

 

In real life, the first is supposed to result in the second. The problem is, a lot of stock ABS systems are garbage or simply designed with a wide margin for error, so a skilled driver can beat them. They should, however, shave distance versus a fully-locked panic stop.
