Regarding your wish for universal plate size support:

After a bit of thinking about adding this, I have come to the conclusion that it's better not included in the main mod, as I just want to keep a certain level of accuracy.
However:
1. When these custom plate sizes roll around, I will make sure that EVERY vanilla car and the most popular car mods will be supported. More cars will be added upon request. (I could also add support for EU plate sizes for the vehicles that don't currently support EU sized plates if you want )
2. If you still wish for fictional US sized plates to be added, I might make a separate submod adding them, as I really want to keep this level of accuracy in the main mod.

PS: I'll be in Lübeck tomorrow, so development pause until 30/10/2023

for 1, if you make custom plate sizes, it's a good idea to make them compatible for standard sizes, because they are a few plate mods that were exclusive to a custom plate size, then abandoned, and after a few years there were vehicles reworked, making the plates not work on even some vanilla cars, for example there is the old finnish plate, which was abandoned for a year, and now it's not usable even on some vanilla vehicles, as the plate was exclusive to that size, and the size wan't supported on most cars, another case scenario is when using real car mods, there are so many of them, that it's near impossible to add support for them (i know most of them are bad russian meshslaps but


and for 2, i support the idea to make a submod adding fictional us-size plates

 

To make it official:
Main mod will be exclusive to real life plate sizes and a submod for universal plate size support will be added in the near future.

I can understand the thing with the abandoned mods, but don't worry I'll only ever stop making BeamNG mods when I'm dead

hello vinswie! i believe you came back from holiday? if so, how was it?

 

Yes, we returned last Sunday and now school started again and since I also play the accordion in my free time as well, I have to practice a lot now as we're approaching christmas, there'll be a lot of concerts. We always go to Lübeck on holidays at least once every year since I was 3, so it's not really anything special to me any more, but it's still quite nice. However, just one day before we drove there, the Baltic Sea coast of Germany experienced one of the worst floods since the last 100 years, so some parts of the beaches were inaccessible.

But as mentioned above, this time of the year is always the most stressful for me because of accordion concerts and school, so while I might still work on my mods under the week sometimes, I'll mostly have to work on the weekends, so I plan to have this thread receive development updates every Sunday
